Ok I gotta ask - why did you say no, only to post a TP pic that looks good?

Good idea on the thread as the main GDC moves too fast.

As I posted in there, while I have no doubt the game will be good, these disney-pixar enemies & characters really just bum me out. I could live with the pastel colors, even though I feel the game is about exploration of dark dungeons, and lets face it we really have'nt seen much yet, but It just all feels wrong to me.

Looks like AlttP in 3D stylistically speaking.

Not impressed at all...and did Nintendo hire Tetsuya Nomura to re-design Vaati crossed with David Bowie or something? Hype slowly dying for this game. And that HUD still...

Looks pretty good.

I'm not worried about the combat, though. Or the dungeons. I am worried about the overall design. If this just ends up feeling like OoT 3.0... I don't know. I'll play and enjoy it, but I'll be disappointed.

Yeah, I understand the music not being as "melodic" but it's just trailer music.

I would imagine that the actual in-game music will be like Galaxy's... A nice mix of orchestrated stuff and synthesized stuff. Or at least I hope so...

First appearance of sword girl in game. (Down on the D-pad).

Also rupees are super hard to find. Look, he has zero for the whole trailer.

Why does the new Zelda look so blurry?

I hope it's just the low quality trailer.

It just looks so...soft. My biggest worry is that they have toned down the difficulty even more, I didn't see link fighting lots of enemies at the same time, that could be because of the limitation of how responsive waggle controls can be, with simple buttons it's easier to have faster reactions. Seems like the game has been made in accordance with that.

Very, very weak trailer.

They might not even be in the game yet. I'd imagine things like that are some of the last things put into a new Zelda.

Didn't like the Trailer. I hope there'll be a lot more to this game than just the use of Wii Motion+. :(

Also: WTF @ 0:42? The thing explodes and the sound is a monkey scream? Reminds me of the squirrels in Deadly Premonition which also sound like monkeys.

Limp trailer but it's just an update on the MotionPlus combat. E3 will see the lid blown off. It looks smooth, the enemies look cool and I like the redesigned logo. I do still think that they would have been better off rebuilding Link from scratch rather than using the TP one as a base. He still doesn't look right.

The problem I have with this is that it's pretty much exactly what I'd expect from a Zelda title on the Wii, it's not really getting my imagination flowing
It all seems very safe

I'm sure I'll love it when I'm playing the game, but right now, none of the trailer for Skyward Sword have done anything for me.

for me, the main problems I had was with the gameplay. so gameplay trailers are what gets me hyped. as for whether the game looks better than TP, it's a difference of artstyles.

Its a completely new character.

I wonder if he's some sort of item-based character too like sword girl.

On first glance the inside of his cape looks like the Golden Sword from Majora's Mask:

As far as I'm aware the game will be more than 60 seconds long.

Christ that HUD is fucking awful. I might not even rebuy a Wii for this after all..

1) Multiple people in this thread have said the Wiimote HUD can be disabled.

2) Why the fuck do you people buy and sell and rebuy consoles?

Nope, there won't be. You're just running around in coloured arenas swinging your remote around and doing nothing else. That's all.

That guy looks more like a member of the sword girl's race than Vaati, Oni Link, or Shiek. Actually it doesn't look like Vaati or any kind of Link to me. Shiek might be more likely. I think it's a totally new character though.

That's a cool looking trailer though. It captures the feeling of both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess for me.

It's been confirmed to be able to turn off, shut the fuck up with this shit. Were you living under a rock for the past year?

I have no doubt that the game will turn out great, but Nintendo is doing a horrible job hyping it. The second trailer is even more boring than the first one and is - again - lacking any kind of "special something".

At this point I'm also starting to dislike the art style. It looks bland.

Yes, because as demonstrated by Bayonetta among other things, everything is better with David Bowie.

It's okay if you don't like what you see. There is no need to throw around empty words just to make it sound more important or something.

The new female character looks like a mix of Shiek and that soldier girl from TP.

Er, That was pretty crappy video quality. Everything looked so washed out. That interface is going to be optional right? With the wiimote image on the side, etc?

Let's see, not no buckles, no crazy hairstyle, looks almost like the Zora's in MM...how is it reminiscent of a Nomura design in any way? The design looks in line with what we've seen from Zelda games in the past!

While I feel Skyward Sword looks great, I don't disagree about the weak trailer.
It just seemed to take any footage and piece it together, rather than putting some heavy thought into the editing.

The music is wonderful! Oh yes it is so wonderful!

Duuuuun- dun dun dun! Dun duuuuu! Dun duuuuu. Du-da-duun! Dun duuuuun duuuuuun dun dun duuuuun!

HQ trailer now please, Nintendo.
