Damn you got that version too? Yeah I was surpsied. Was pissed I wasted that gil on flowers too...

Oh and ZoE is awesome. Just the fact that Vic Viper is in there makes it one of the Games of the Generation ;)

Anyone that hates on ZOE2 is a ****ing moron.

/thread

I hated ZOE1; boring combat, stupid enemies, bland level design and lame overall gameplay.

Will I still like ZOE2? Does it fix any of my aforementioned gripes?

ZOE 2 is ****ing awesome, kojima's production second best game

if only you could play in the main game with the other orbital frames :_(

do you still need to ask that? how many ZOE2 appreciation threads do we get every week?
well, YES IT DOES, IT'S 100 TIMES BETTER, BUY IT NOW!!!

Ah reminds me, i still need to play this one, i started out on Hard but i was too weaksauce for it, awesome game though. Think im gonna play it on normal first now.

Okay, so GAF picked a good one. Everybody's got a chance at winning at the craps table, too. Now do another one, Demi. Play...
Advent Children
Guitar Hero.

ZOE2 owns hard! such a ****in' awesome game! Great anime videos, very good music, beautiful beautiful graphics (best looking particle effects evar!) some really amazing boss fights & High Speed Robot Action!

I <3 <3 <3 ZOE2! ^____^

The final battles in this game are a fantastic flurry of sparks, lasers, particles and explosions that really shoud be experienced by all fans of space-action games.

i will try it, but want to pick up the first one first.

You better be a completist... since the story and action are nothing compared to what ZOE2 brings. (though I loved the interactive music and 'space station colony under siege' setting)

demi, completely seriously, I've been trying to find a copy of this locally forever, if you give up on this or beat it and don't want it anymore I'll buy this off you in a heartbeat. Let me know~

"Shadow of the Refund" :lol :lol

I got my copy off CAG Trading, check around there

Seriously? I check there like a hound almost daily and haven't seen it pop up for a while. What the ****.

This game is one of the very very few games I'm still looking to pick up, our collection's pretty rounded out except for a few really rare titles (mostly Saturn stuff like PDS).

Even as a fan of the first one: The sequel is one of the best Action games of this last gen. It deserves to be said in the same breath as games like DMC3 and Ninja Gaiden. It fixes all of the problems. There is good AI(And the commander type idea is pretty damn cool), more varied enemy design, incredible level design(some of my favorite levels ever) and overall the pacing is much better. The pacing actually reminds me of the MGS games in a lot of ways.

Murata is working on MGS4 now. This should tell you something. The game is amazing.

This is the best game I don't have. :( I have played and beaten it sooo many times, yet I can't find a copy of it for the world to own for myself (now atleast). I find no faults in this game at all...except for the huge framerate drop in the huge battle, but, even then, I overlooked it. People are acting like mass enemies are new and exciting, when, Konami has been done them.

Yes. It fixes them all. I LIKED ZOE1 but ZOE2, just holy crap. Better in every possible way.

What a bunch of ****ing whiners in this thread!!!

Geez, ZOE2 rocks so hard, your great-grandfather would get a massive boner the moment you picked up the controller.

wtf, why is this ho damanging herself, stupid AI.

You might have already beaten it, but if she does the damage herself shit, just give her one quick shot/slice to stop her. It will cut the damage down a bit.

That fight is a bitch tho. Stupid Vaccum mechs.

Pump up the volume Demi. And fasten your seatbelt. Let the Metatron flow into your veins.

It has more action and flow than Metal Gear, so why are they boring our libraries with more of the same crap?

Play the game on hard (this is where the real ZOE2 is) and you'll find plenty of reasons to use all the subweapons at your disposal.

Yeah this is exactly how I feel. The real game starts at Hard. The fight with Vic Viper is amazing on hard. So many missles it feels like a macross game.

Oh and the only subweapon that I didn't really use were the mines. Other than that I used every one. I actually used Decoy a lot to beat Inhert. Never used it on Normal.

Got ZOE2 ages ago from the budget bin.

Got stuck at some kind of escort mine field part in the game.

After trying to finish it a couple (zillion) of times i started to turn green.

Never touched it again.

Sucks that you missed out on some of the most awesome parts in any game ever....just because you can't understand 'left' 'right' and 'stop'....

Yeah well, considering the huge backlog i have i was eager enough to start with something else.

Sell your copy to someone who isn`t a total dipshit. They might actually play it.

If it's too hard for you and becomes frustrating, well, the difficulty levels available are well-designed and maybe you should think about playing on easy. Claiming that the level design is "uninspired" just because you suck only kills your credibility.

Where did I say I thought the game was hard? I said it was a struggle to beat, which means I can't play this game in long stretches since I get tired of the gameplay pretty quicky. The only hard part I encounterd was the Viola AI boss, which took me quite some tries to beat. Up until that point I had no difficulty problems, so you're kind of connecting my level claims with difficulty issues out of the blue. I also mentioned the part in which you're supposed to drag the orbital frame up. That wasn't all that hard, but the camera and lock on system has its problems in close and small areas. I just think the indoor areas are bland and very samey. That being said, I'll still continue and play the final levels, since these seem to get most praise, so I have something to look forward to. Maybe I'll even play it on hard to get more out of the battle system, I'm still willing to give it some chances :)
There's no denying that this game has its problems though, I was just putting the ZoE 2 circle jerk into some perspective.
