If you combine Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing e+, then the total is > 1 million. I'm fine with keeping them separate, though. :)
It'd make more sense to combine them, they're essentially the same game right?

Didn't expect Killzone 2 up there.

You know it's a slow week when a Cave shooter on the 360 debuts at #6. I'm interested to see how MHG did. 200k?

Doubt it. I would guess 140-150K.

I guess 200k from a <100k first day would be too high an increase for a series of MH's nature. 150k does seem more reasonable.

With that in mind, I'm going to guess 25k for Wii sales. I wonder how much the PS3 dropped. Could be relatively close between the systems this week.

Animal Crossing GCN is a million seller in the same way that Monster Hunter Portable 2 is nearing 5 million. Certainly there's a lot of buyer overlap between editions, even if the base games are very similar.

That'd put WiiFit at ~20k? I'm guessing MH2PG got bumped this week too - maybe 30+K?
I don't know that I'd relate a Monster Hunter bump in hardware with increased Wii Fit sales. Death Smiles first day sales were 8700. I'd be surprised if it breaks 15k at #6.

Color me surprised.

Valkyria PS3 isn't slowing down. 200k total LTD is a safe bet.

MHP2G is up by 5k.

I thought the MH3 Wii demo (+ free MHG) was going to hurt its sales but oh boy, I was wrong.

Anyway, nice sales for the overpriced demo

Edit-..and 360 numbers going down again. I so confused.

Why? MS released a new SKU, sales went up a few weeks and now they're going down

Substantial PS3 drop, but not much of Wii bump either.

Good MH G numbers though.

Excepted the PS3 drop, I am sure most of those bundles are gone now.

Curious to see the breakdown with MH G. I have a feeling they overshipped the stand alone game and undershipped the bundle.

Bodes well for MH3, all things considered.

Depends: Some were expecting a bump in hardware to accompany G's sales. [I didn't. A demo is hardly Tri itself.] But yes, the game's sales are good on their own.

With that little bump I don't see Wii in a much better position than PS3.

I'm expecting both consoles to drop below 10k in the next few months.

Short term..probably not. I could see Wii holding a bit better since I think we generally know the basement of Wii sales (13K-15K) but don't know how long PS3 will fall.

We do know Wii Sports Resort is coming up in June, which should bump things up a bit. I don't think there is anything for PS3 coming up soon that could bump anything.

listen to the mad man
Disaster Report 1 - 55k week 1, 149k lifetime
Disaster Report 2 - 28k week 1, 59k lifetime
Disaster Report 3 - 32k week 1

Pokemon MD1 DS - 134k week 1, 60k week 2 (44% of week one), 761k lifetime (3.92 * first two weekss)
Pokemon MD1 GBA - 121k week 1, 58k week 2 (47% of week one), 715k lifetime (3.99 * first two weeks)
Pokemon MD2 DS - 583k week 1, 176k week 2 (30% of week one), 1.5 million lifetime. (1.93 * first two weeks)
Pokemon MD2.5 - 142k week 1, 56k week 2 (39% of week one)

Projecting at 1.93 * first two weeks, we have 382k, projecting at 3.9 * first two weeks, we have 772k.

Well thats the last of the ACC bundles no doubt. I almost wish I could go to the TAB and put a bet on to see if the PS3 can outsell the Wii again next week. Going on 2 months complete now, not a bad effort.

He wrote that he will not have time to do these threads anymore and asked if someone can do it instead. Apparently noone interested. :p

I think you are right, give those numbers the breakdown should be a near complete sell out of the bundle and not so hot on the standalone.

Which makes sense since you cannot play MHG without the classic controller (only MH3 can be played with the wiimote and nunchuck) so anybody with half a brain and love of MH as a license is going to buy the bundle

I really don't understand why they didn't just do them all as the bundle. I mean G has been released a few times before, hasn't it? Most people who actually wanted to play it likely already have. The demo and controller is the whole point of the deal.

Good going for Monster Hunter.

Killzone 2 as expected. Tracking its stats might get a little more interesting than usual this week (+Japanese release +DLC on Thursday).

I think Golden Week will be a nice change of pace for the Japanese charts, particularly hardware. I expect Nintendo's platforms to do better than Sony's in that period.

whoa...did not expect Killzone 2 to do that well.

The Triple still leads the Wii, despite the huge difference in price. Impressive.

The primary motivator of Wii sales - namely Nintendo - has been notably quiet lately.

Isn't that marching game from the Parapa guy?
I heard it was suppose to be horrible, so bad sales isn't a surprise.

Absolutely. We don't see the sales for every game that releases in a week, after all.
