I liked MC, but now i prefer the burger king for this kind of food.

And i saw the ad with those guys. It doesnt tell much about the game, but its Taiko after all.

Great to see that Monster Hunter X (seems to be) doing well.

Also, did anyone notice that Monster Strike 3DS has local 4 player co-op? I see so many games trying to strike on that local co-op market that the hunting games (and Smash) have seemed to reach, but no one seems to have much success there... think Monster Strike's co-op may be an appealing factor to the game?

Something interesting is that the Monster Hunter X Official Data Book sold almost the same amount as the tenth game, Happy Home Designer. Other curious thing (but I suppose it was expected), 24 hours after the realease of Monster Hunter X, Rakuten started to sell download codes for the digital version, mostly beacuse the physical went out of stock in that amount of time.

I work for the company that does the subtitles for the anime. In one episode there's a super random moment that made us scratch our heads. After some time I suggested that, if we're really stretching it, it could be a reference to the Youkai Watch dance (thanks Gaf). Turns out the Japanese team agreed with me, so we went with that. That the anime is acknowledging Youkai Watch, plus the characters and the humor, and the relatively nice-looking 3DS game, I got the impression they want this to become a little more like a teenage Youkai Watch.

I don't know anything about anime so I don't know if it's successful for them or not, but the 3DS game at least definitely has potential to sell 1 million+ lifetime I think. I hope it's good.

If you're wondering why there's no Capcom's 2 millions shipped report, it's because they haven't shipped more copies since launch.

Monster Hunter X is completely sold out. All depends now on digital sales.

Bic Camera and the other shops are just pushing the digital codes, trying to don't lose potencial sales.

Why did Capcom not ship enough? How much is the shipment, and also the first day sell-through?

And do they have unlimited download codes at the store, or do they sell out and then just push eShop money to buy the game?

Tsutaya's report

- Tremendous sales for Monster Hunter X. It sold better than Portable 3 in two days.*
- Compared to Monster Hunter 4G (Ultimate), it sold 20% more copies, a Great start.
- There's absolutely no copies left in stores. Keep checking our shops the following days if you plan to buy the game.

*Portable 3 was released on Wednesday, Tsutaya seems is just comparing the two first days (Wed and Thu), not the whole week 1 for MHP3.

I think so, at least 3G and 4G.

YW: Busters has different gameplay than the main Yokai Watch games, doesnt it? MHX is a traditional MH game in terms of gameplay.

I kinda wonder why Capcom never made a Monster Hunter spin-off for the DS. I remember some people saying they would have made a Monster Hunter for the DS if it was powerful enough. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, they didn't have to develop a traditional Monster Hunter installment.

I guess they didn't really need it considering how well the series did on PSP, but I've always wondered what a DS-style Monster Hunter could look like and I think it could have been pretty successful.

Is Smash the only AAA franchise that has increased in sales in every entry? Can't think of another one...

Sorry, I meant in 2015 :). But yes, Smash has increased with every iteration worldwide and in Japan if I'm not mistaken (Smash 4 hasn't outsold Brawl just yet Worldwide, but I think it's bound to happen).

That video shows comparisons of loading times for Monster Hunter X on a Vanilla 3DS and a New 3DS, it's an official video made by Nintendo as it's on their channel.

It's not being well recieved, really wouldn't expect them to make it public again.

MH4U came out on the same day as the New 3DS and New 3DS LL in Japan. It would be higher pretty much no matter what.
