So this is one of the last steps required for the anima:

"The goods requested by Cristiana can be obtained through various means including dungeons, beast tribe quests, and crafting."

So idk, have fun I guess?

Anima doesn't seem that bad from what I'm seeing, the big RNG step is skipped by zeta

Someone's theory is that the "dungeon" portion of this might be those new items from Alex Normal.

WHM cane will look awesome (model rips always lack glow and polish). I like the core design, better than anything in HW for WHM so far. And the weapons are i210 since the WHM Relic cane has +103VIT, which is the same as Gordian and Eso upgrade.

Didn't expect Gobdip until a bit later, so not surprised by that at all. The vast majority of people aren't going to get new relic right away, so why diminish the value of the relic quest with it right away?

No nerfs a little more surprising. Also going to guess they are deciding to wait until people have had time with relics before adjusting anything. So maybe at the so-called 3.18 patch sometime in January or something, along with Gobdip.

Least I'll probably be doing A4S with relic when I start then...sigh.

Step 1 is the FATE grind, can be skipped.
Step 2 is run dungeon from Snowcloak to Vault in order.
Step 3 is to trade in the new crafted items which can apparently be gotten indirectly from Beast Tribes (rank 3+) or ???? instead of just crafting them straight up.

That's it.

I don't know about that Korra, looking at it and if you have a zeta already even someone going casually should have this weapon in a week or less.

Christ, the bow is ugly. But them stats.

Kinda bummed to be wasting my skip on 0 WD upgrade for Det/Skillspeed, but it just means I have to go find the thing where Aiurily was going in to MCH skill speed breakpoints and pay attention. But given the relative strength of the Thordan and Gordian weapons, there wasn't much of a good option left for us stats-wise.

Hope this can be knocked out quick with the atma skip so I can get around to grinding out Fugly Bow Relic 2.0.

Even if it's two weeks for the average person, that's still two weeks of relevant content. They need every week they can get at this point to get to 3.2 without bleeding out too much. I expect if there is a 3.18, it's dropping roughly a month from this past Tuesday.

I'm thinking all of the beast tribe vendors sell the same thing and it's just your choice dependent on who you have leveled. That's just a guess though.

I believe the unidentifiable items are what is required. Vanu seems to sell all of them and then a mixture come from the old beast tribes.

No, that just means only 2.0 is required, so it is a change for everyone regardless of it you own heavensward or not.

Bard has traditionally had spectacular hat game but pretty appalling taste when it comes to relic and AF weapons.

Artemis bow was hideous, Berimbau is disgusting, and the latest relic is gross. Pre-Zeta Yoichi was solid, then they added the gross reticle not centered on the arrow and ruined it.

The most recent ground AOE indicators were apparently hard for colorblind people to see on a bunch of the terrain options, so my guess is they're getting changed again.

And I just realized this. The relic grind starts with Snowcloak.

Snow cloak is the dungeon that took me like 35-40 runs to get my item from.

People think that animated and awoken eso weapon are a part of the relic quest chain. Not sure what that means yet in terms of having to buy a new eso weapon or something? Idk.

They are. Second step yields Animated Eso Weapons (i170), third step yields Awoken Eso Weapons (i200). Fuck if I know why they're the Eso Weapons.

Soon as I knew relic was coming I made sure that the current week of Eso if I capped it I would at least hit the max Eso cap. Diadem really helped this effort out. Each week I'd be like "don't know what to buy...should just wait".

Oh game is up, was logging in and just went to character select and realized, "oh, maintenance is done if I got here!"

1) A fully completed zeta relic - THIS DESTROYS THE RELIC. You can now buy a replica of the zeta stage (North Shroud (X:30 Y:20) from the NPC Drake), which you should do before doing this

So Step 3 seems to be the real bullshit.
There's 4 catalysts you need to present to finish the relic.
EACH of the catalysts requires 20 of "Unidentified" item (specific per) and 4 HQ crafted specialist items (recipe takes dawnborne, diadem mats, all that good stuff).
How to get unidentified items? 10 new Alexander tokens per ONE item. Or 13 beast tribe tokens. Or get them from treasure chests. Or buy 2 of them for law (680 law).
That means... 800 Alex runs, or 54000 law, or 1040 rank 3 beast tribe quests.
Of course, you can combine. But um...

So glad I get to skip the atma grind, though now my laziness in avoiding beast quests has come back to bite me in the ass.

Still, initial impressions are that this isn't that bad.

I don't know if I'm just getting jaded or what, but fuck, playing this game has become such a chore. Thordan EX is like the only fun piece of content to come out for this game in months. Everything else is just grind, grind, grind. Do the same two dungeons every day for Eso. Farm the same spot in Diadem for ages hoping for a decent drop. Run FATEs forever hoping for Atmas. At a certain point it becomes more work than play.
