Also, back in the day while having fun with glitching games by rocking the cartridge back and forth while a game was running on the SMS for very strange results I managed to make it so the human form of Wonderboy appeared in the town. This impossible scenario is part of the save system because I then went and got the password which would replicate the result if you punched it in after resetting the game.
So what's the password?

I joined this forum MONTHS ago just to leave a comment in this thread...and I was accepted today. Wow.

Anyway, this is one of the best threads I've ever had the pleasure to read in my internet life.

General Leo from Final Fantasy VI looks White in-game but he is actually Black according to Amano's art:

Amano is notorious for strange color jobs.

His more serious art for Leo isn't nearly that dark.

I know of a weird easter egg/secret from Timesplitters 2, it could of been the third but I could swear it was the second. I can barely remember how to do it as I haven't owned it or even played the game since the year after it was out.

If I remember correctly it's either die in the single player and leave the game on the screen that appears when you die, or leave the game on the screen that appears at the end of a multiplayer match, if you don't do anything for several minutes, just leave it on one of those screens, if you do that after a certain amount of time you'll hear weird noises and screaming for a couple of minutes. It freaked me & my friends out when it happened, we had and still don't have any idea of what is was or is.

It has been several years since I did this but it worked multiple times and I swear it's in there somewhere, I may be wrong on the timing and what screen you have to leave it on but I swear it's definitely in there. I did it on the gamecube version but it must be on the others aswell.

I hope someone on GAF can try it out and see if they can get it to work, I've searched online but haven't seen any mention of it. If someone here finds it could you upload a video of it to youtube, it's been so long since I actually did it I want to know if I'm remembering correctly or if I've gone incredibly insane and my mind is creating a whole new past for me with some added crazy.

Probably since it is lava if you look at the whole picture. It just matches very well with the fire outfits color scheme

I still can't help but focusing on that section.

[QUOTE=MrMan2k3]His in-game profile picture definitely looks darker than his sprite:

And that's why they killed him off right?

lol.

What is the story behind the beta version being different, anyway?
As far as the sound is concerned, it's because the sound chip didn't have enough sound channels to do music and all of the sound effects simultaneously. If you play the beta, the drums tend to cut out whenever you attack and so forth. So, the retail version had drastically scaled back music.

This might be a huge stretch, but has anyone ever noticed that Velen in WoW's loading screen seems to have a Lambda symbol on his pauldron?

Notice also how Velen is holding a crystal while Gordon is holding the antlion spore.

Also, I believe that both Velen and Gordon are supposed to be Moses allegories.

I have a little one. If you read the Pokedex description from Steelix in Pokémon Silver/Soul Silver:
It's said that if an ONIX lives for 100 years, its composition becomes diamondlike as it evolves into a STEELIX.

Well, the thing is that the wild Steelixs that you can catch Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver, are indeed wild Onixs that evolved, due that they have more than 100 years.

Hahaha. That's great. Never noticed that before. Blizzard's great with paying homage to games and movies.

There was an awesome glitch in Lock 'N' Chase on the Intellivision, where if you spammed 360s on the controller disc as you were going through the tunnels you broke out of the maze and could rack up points at a superhuman rate.

In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, in the mansion in chapter 4-4, the leftmost painting in the leftmost room depicts a Fuzzy from Paper Mario.

You can kinda see it here. I couldn't find a better image of it.

This isn't a major thing, but I just now noticed it. I was playing Chrono Trigger while I was banned and I noticed that the symbols on the sealed doors in the future is the Mammon Machine.

What is less well-known is that the Mammon Machine is apparently based on Robo's original concept art by Masato Kato, before it got the Akira Toriyama treatment:

An even LESS known fact is that they were considering one of the sages as a playable character at one point.

Both of these have been shown before (well, except the Famicom article, which I would consider fairly mind-blowing in its own right). And the Mario cover had several pages of posts in commentary and jokes dedicated to it, and was only nine days ago, so either you're lying about reading the thread or you have a really bad memory, Keiician.

The funny thing is that, apart from the known password to acquire Wonder Boy's Hu-Man form; the nowadays called westone bit entertainment (http://www.westone.co.jp/index.html) self-referencing WE5T-0NE-0000-000, apparently there was another password that achieved the same results as this one...included in the instruction manual! In a image with the password column 3YGU-PYZ-ZY7K-NRR represented inside. The problem for some people, like me, is that in the instruction manual of the European version of the game I have it doesn't appears this image, although all the other images in the North American version (http://www.smspower.org/seganotebook/wondboy3/manual/wondby3m.html) are the same ones.

Some FF!3 facts:

Sazh's final attack is called Cold Blood. This is a translator mistake, as it's supposed to be...Desperado. Anyone remember another silly father type character with that move?

Snow is wearing a bandanna and a white longcoat. Which two other self-proclaimed heroes wore those two items?
Locke and Seifer.

ALL of the characters, from the main bosses to the heroes, are motivated by familial loss. Snow and Lightning lose Serah. Sazh loses Dazh. Fang doesn't want to lose her girlfriend Vanille. Hope is a sudden orphan.

And then the main boss, well...think about who it is trying to reach.

This one has already been on GAF, then the internet and now back to GAF. If it's popular and on the internet, it's probably already been on GAF. Remember that.
