So what's the password?ScionOfTheRisingSun said:Also, back in the day while having fun with glitching games by rocking the cartridge back and forth while a game was running on the SMS for very strange results I managed to make it so the human form of Wonderboy appeared in the town. This impossible scenario is part of the save system because I then went and got the password which would replicate the result if you punched it in after resetting the game.

Beta version is superior. As is the case with most of the other Genesis tracks.MarshMellow96 said:I always enjoyed the Genesis version.. Isn't the drum beat the same sound as punch?

Am I the only one who sees this?
EmmanuelMunoz said:Probably since it is lava if you look at the whole picture. It just matches very well with the fire outfits color scheme

As far as the sound is concerned, it's because the sound chip didn't have enough sound channels to do music and all of the sound effects simultaneously. If you play the beta, the drums tend to cut out whenever you attack and so forth. So, the retail version had drastically scaled back music.Gravijah said:What is the story behind the beta version being different, anyway?

It's said that if an ONIX lives for 100 years, its composition becomes diamondlike as it evolves into a STEELIX.

Notice also how Velen is holding a crystal while Gordon is holding the antlion spore.
Also, I believe that both Velen and Gordon are supposed to be Moses allegories.
Gravijah said:CPS1 version is also great. Can't really decide if I like the CPS-2 or CPS-1 version better. Overall, most of the CPS1 versions are better than the CPS2 versions.

What is less well-known is that the Mammon Machine is apparently based on Robo's original concept art by Masato Kato, before it got the Akira Toriyama treatment:B.K. said:This isn't a major thing, but I just now noticed it. I was playing Chrono Trigger while I was banned and I noticed that the symbols on the sealed doors in the future is the Mammon Machine.

Anyway, from here: http://www.n-sider.com/contentview.php?contentid=4180,
this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Ml55-9aEp2c
Both of these have been shown before (well, except the Famicom article, which I would consider fairly mind-blowing in its own right). And the Mario cover had several pages of posts in commentary and jokes dedicated to it, and was only nine days ago, so either you're lying about reading the thread or you have a really bad memory, Keiician.Keiician said:About that Mario cover - I've read this whole topic but can't remember if this has already been posted:

The funny thing is that, apart from the known password to acquire Wonder Boy's Hu-Man form; the nowadays called westone bit entertainment (http://www.westone.co.jp/index.html) self-referencing WE5T-0NE-0000-000, apparently there was another password that achieved the same results as this one...included in the instruction manual! In a image with the password column 3YGU-PYZ-ZY7K-NRR represented inside. The problem for some people, like me, is that in the instruction manual of the European version of the game I have it doesn't appears this image, although all the other images in the North American version (http://www.smspower.org/seganotebook/wondboy3/manual/wondby3m.html) are the same ones.ScionOfTheRisingSun said:Also, back in the day while having fun with glitching games by rocking the cartridge back and forth while a game was running on the SMS for very strange results I managed to make it so the human form of Wonderboy appeared in the town. This one has already been on GAF, then the internet and now back to GAF. If it's popular and on the internet, it's probably already been on GAF. Remember that.Keiician said:About that Mario cover - I've read this whole topic but can't remember if this has already been posted:
