Finished Season 3. What can I say..it was excellent also. The show has really tightened up amazingly since the first season is all I can say. They really know how to plot a long term conflict.

"He." One of the amazing things about B5 is that 90 of the 110 episodes were written by one person.

Finished Season 4.

It's a great show. What can you say. It's sort of sad that I've blown through it so fast. It means there is very little left.

Season 4 finishes too abruptly. You can tell they had to rush the storyline which takes away some of the impact but still there was so much good stuff it's hard to complain.

While the latter part of season 4 isn't as good as Season 3 there are two just amazing episodes that blew me away that I had to mention.

Episode 8

Episode 18

were just amazing episodes.

I'll probably bump this thread below after I finish but I have some definite thoughts on the subject now.

Well I finished it. The show proper that is. I still have a few movies left and that crusader show but the actual show itself is done.

Amazing. I'm shocked I missed something this good the first go around.

The fifth season has the same problems as the fourth. It's rushed. the first half of the season is a bit sappy also with that "hunky" telepath dude doing his own take on David Koresh but it was still interesting.

I guess the best compliment I can give it is that after the first season I thought it was an amusing show and such but nothing substanial really. Now that I'm done imo it was clearly one the best sci-fi shows ever if not the best. I prefer it to BSG and shockingly I even prefer it I think to Star Trek TOS which I thought no show would ever unseat for me.

The arcs and plotting are simply superb. It's sort of like the Wire only in that sense that once you've seen a show done this way and executed so well, it's going to be very hard for me to enjoy new sci-fi shows for a long time.

The personal character arcs are amazing. There isn't a character I didn't like on the show. Lando and Gkar were especially brilliant of course. In fact I find the whole Gaius Baltar storyline from BSG farily trite now because Lando's story is a much better realized version of it.

Simply stunning.

I'm sad to see a couple of the character like Gkar and the Doctor died in real life.
