I am sure Mario would rather have his game out, then spending more time to make you a demo. He said that after it releases they would possibly work on one.

Shatter looks great, I'll have no trouble dropping $15 (au) or so on that when it's out

I googled the name and got the official site. I looked at the trailer and I'm interested. But again, I'm not going to blind-buy it. I'll wait for the demo (if Mario is reading this: see, demos bring sales!) if there is one. Otherwise I've got a backlog of some PSN content I need to buy over this anyway.

Yeah, I know. The error you're getting is "error occured whilst updating the game, please try again?" I went to the Studio Liverpool fan-forums and nothing but fucktards there screaming about it being my "connection" despite telling them "uh, no, it isn't. *screens of other accounts on same PS3 and connection playing the game fine here*" Bunch of whining cry-babies they were.

SCEA help-line didn't know WTF the problem was either. Such a :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol about wasting $20 on the game with the intent of playing online with my account and I can't even play it online!

That's not to say that Wipeout HD is bad, it isn't. But goddamn if you buy something with the intent of using it's selling feature, and that selling feature doesn't work I think you'd be pretty pissed like me.

Wrestlers should be copied and flipped on that other "panel" or whatever in that structure for symmetry reasons. Like this

Honestly, I think Shatter looks really fun to play. The fact that its $8 is nice, but when you see it as $7.99 on the store, its sort of falls into that "...So its not $5, but its not $10 either.... why is it 7.99, specifically? Why? I feel so confused," and there will be confusion :S

The no demo no buy thing isn't really a big deal for me, when the games are under £10. Who gives a shit, support Sidhe.

I will buy Shatter as well - people like us shouldn't need a demo. There's enough Youtube, IGN and 1UP video material so we pretty much know what it's about. We haven't heard anything negative about the controls either, so I don't see the need to have a demo.

For the broad public however it's a different story, but I hope there'll be a video accompanying the release. Two weeks ago I was mildly interested in Topatoi, but I coldn't find ANY decent promotional material on it other than an old teaser. I actively searched and still came up empty - that's more than any developer can ask of his customer. I ended up not buying it, thinking why should I invest in this, if the developer doesn't even care to provide the most basic forms of advertising and/or education about his product.

I can understand the "no demo no deal" thing but considering its so cheap I cant really follow the logic that applies.

Blind bought Everyday Shooter.

It was... okay. Good, but not worth the cash or time I spent with it.

Doesn't matter about the price. Having a demo is a good selling point on getting people to buy your game. There is a reason why XBL mandates them for XBLA releases and why Sony should for DAY ONE on PSN.

I don't care if you want to get your game out faster, cut a level out of the middle make it a timed application and put it up with the game. Argh!

And since "Shatter" has little to no word-of-mouth (besides in this thread), a demo would REALLY help it's selling point.
