I tried today to stream for the first time and I was lagging, I think.
do I have to set a lower bitrate/fps in that case? I was at 2000 bitrate and 60 fps.

I'm so done with Xsplit. What a piece of shit. It's crashed my HD PVR on Windows 8 three separate times now, and the only fix is to completely uninstall it from my PC, uninstall xsplit, and then reinstall everything. What a steaming pile of horse shit.

...anyone got any good alternatives?

OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)

and it's free! and I think less resource intensive than xsplit
There are a bunch of guides on how to set it to get the best streaming quality even if you have under or around 1 Mbps upload

Guys I had a question

I bought a 3 month license of xsplit (Personal) so know I could play at fullscreen while streaming

My doubt is, how could I make to look at the chat while playing the game, if I had another monitor could I do something?

I've been streaming a bit more often lately. I've been successfully failing at succeeding (if that makes sense). A bit of background on me. I'm the Global Sponsorship & Community Manager at Mad Catz and one of the leaders of the Fighting Game Community. You would think that I am streaming mostly fighting game stuff, right? Wrong, lol.

I stream older games cuz I love em'. <3

I don't try to be a pro speed runner or be the best at any game. I just like having fun, discussing the gaming industry and my passions... All the while listening to some random music...

Here are some recent highlights from my past streams:

I stream usually late at night (I live on the West Coast of the USA). If you want to know when I stream, follow me on twitter or subscribe to my channel.

After streaming on my PS4, I want to try to do it for my other consoles. I have the first version of the HD-PVR (component only) and was wondering the best way to stream to Twitch. I streamed some NCAA dynasty games a few years ago when I was in a GAF dynasty and accomplished that by capturing the preview video on the HD-PVR software, which didn't look too great. Is there a better way to do it now?

Hey guys, I've been streaming for a while(6 months about) with all kinds of content. I tend to play 5 days a week. I always interact with everyone involved and do giveaways pretty frequently. My schedule fluctuates because of my current job as a Firefighter has me working different days of the week. Here are some of highlights we've had and it was such an awesome experience.

Hey guys! I'm streaming for the first time! I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and sharing my experiences with video games with them.

Come to my channel to watch me play games casually and competitively. I will soon be getting a capture card and will stream wii U games as well. And I may start speedrunning in the next year or so.

Right now, I'm playing Bioshock Infinite for the first time. Pretty good so far, I want to hear some of your guys thoughts about it.

Channel: www.twitch.tv/VideoGamesForU

I hope you support my channel (maybe by following us? :) ). Our streaming equipment is very high quality (external Samson micro, Logitech C920, 100mbits/50mbits up and downstream...).

We will stream every new game these next weeks and currently we play Risen 3 and Tales of Xillia 2!

We don't have an organized schedule right now, but we try to stream everyday. Watch our highlights for more information. :)

I've been messing with apple II basic program stuff, using Applewin. But I can't record or stream in OBS without the sidebar staying in the shot.

Do any of you guys use Applewin for videos, and if so, how did you get the sidebar to go away?
