The Deal with It meme is how I feel. They knew almost everything they said yesterday was going to piss off the community, yet they did it anyways. Deal with it nerds, you know you will buy it anyways is what yesterday sounded like to me.

No, because how the fuck does a gif promote healthy discussion about anything? Then again it's neogaf, there is healthier discussion at Reddit.

Simple. Making light/fun of what was a sad/disappointing reveal to the majority helps them get into a better mood. They flush away a lot of the frustrations/anger about the event (some of which is just a kneejerk personal reaction to certain things they don't particularly like but isn't necessarily bad as a whole) by participating in/going through a topic like this.

Which then frees them up to have a more civil discussion in a thread dedicated to having a discussion. Hence, a topic like this (dedicated to gif/pics) promotes a healthy discussion.

Otherwise, some people would end up taking all of their aggression and frustration out in discussion topics themselves which would garner negative reactions (possibly on the same level) from other people that don't feel the same way leading to a worse overall actual discussion.

Yet here we are, still posting XOne topics in which the first post always shits on the topic at hand and destroys the rest of the thread without a bit of decent discussion.

The whole "flush away frustration" bit is a lie, and it's been proven since the start of the XOne conference yesterday since thread after thread has been ultimately useless in creating some sort of actual discussion that doesn't involve people talking mad shit about the XOne while praising the PS4 (and usually being hypocritical)

The thread was better off closed.
