No Kershaw but still there's a chance being currently tied with the Cardinals. Please don't rip my heart out Dodgers (I'm looking at you Blanton *sigh*)!

Hear that?

That's the Reds backing into the playoffs.
You guys are getting the losses out of the way before the playoffs start. As I said before, momentum before the playoffs mean little as long as you get in.

At this rate, we aren't going to get a chance to defend our title. Outside of Jaime being a pleasant surprise tonight, we sucked at virtually every other facet of the game.

I'm glad no one talks about us. Just like 2010. #eastcoastbias #fuckespn #buccssuck

Barry Zito is pitching well and Buster Posey is a super stud. They are cleaning up the division without the batting champion and first half MVP candidate. They won it with their ace playing the worst he's ever played while losing their star closer for the entire season. There's not much else to say.

Never forget

EDIT: In case anyone missed it, Jose Reyes made the 500,000th error in MLB history today.

Also today, Angel Pagan also set the single season record for triples in SF Giants history.

Shhh let us sneek in and win it all again. I don't really care if they talk or not. Ya this season is a success because of all that has gone wrong.

The Reds aren't stupid. They aren't going 100% because they know if they overtake the Nats, they have to start the playoffs on the road. Their magic number is 6, which means they can afford fucking around.

You can tell that no mods care about policing the MLB thread when it inevitably sails past the 20k limit for posts.

I think the Nationals are trying to do the same, to be honest. I think they don't mind if they win, but they also will give guys more rest than they usually would. I can tell you with certainly that at least Votto isn't going 100%. He's trying to get back to playing form for the playoffs. If this was earlier in the year, i think he would still be at Triple-A. Or at least, he should still be at triple A after all the time he missed.

In particular, the pitching staff was way overworked this year. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to rest a few guys.
