How does everyone feel about the gems? Are they something people would want returning in a sequel? Though they are kind of a pain, I'd be kind of cool with them. Be neat if they had some more variety in effects. It would be neat if bosses could drop gems(like boss souls but not) so we could get some lore on them. I always wonder about the cleric beast and what kind of porn he was watching to get that arm so big.

Theyre good for PvE and horrible for random PvP IMO. But a lot of PvP now is organized fight clubs who make their own rules so.

When the dungeons are RNG it kind of makes the gems have to be RNG.

But grinding a hard depth 5 level 3 boss for a rare chance at a OP gem is something I would never do. Sounds awful.

The idea is super cool. Having gems than can alter your weapon's property at will is a dream comes true for me.
The issue? 90% of them are useless.
Why use a scaling gem when you get 5x more benefit by just equipping a % one? There are a serious balancing issue.
I want the gem system to come back but in more balanced and thoughtful way.

If gems are coming back, they need a serious rethinking of how they work.

Actually I want Chalice Dungeons and gems back, but as a totally separated co-op thing, that would add a lot of replayability to the series.

If they rework both things and they focus them on as a some kind of co-op dungeon crawler thing, it could be really awesome.

Yeah that's fair. On paper it's not a bad idea. Gems to customize your weapons by giving them special properties; poison, HP regen, etc.

But why bother with those when you'd rather just stack damage every single time, basically. Remove damage boosting gems altogether and we'll talk.

Can you kill beasts in old yharham and still befriend Djura?

Kill as needed to get to BSB
Defeat BSB
Find and Kill Paarl
Return to hunters, spawn at BSB location and visit Djura from that direction without killing anything

is that correct?

(1) I think you shouldn't kill the hunter but I'm not sure. I know that if you aggro the Hunter Durja will start shooting at you again.
(2) you don't need to kill Paarl. Just activate the fight is enough.

You can kill the hunter, just so long as you don't kill Djura you're good.

Should note that after you make him not hostile (and talk to him/agree to not hunt the beasts), if you enter Old Yharnam the usual way and go through the area he will turn hostile again with new dialogue.

I think the trigger for that is when you re-aggro the Hunter.

Been helping a lot with chalice dungeons on my 125 character. It's weird to get summoned to early chalice dungeons as a 125. Then the players get mad when you only want to help with the boss too? Lol

Once befriending Djura, attacking any beast on his sight will aggro him again.

Yeah but if you go near the Hunter then it will attack you and then Durja will aggro on you again.

I bet Orphan of Kos last night! I almost beat him on my first attempt, had him down to a sliver of health but got greedy and he killed me with a tantrum. I wish I had been able to finish him off, because it took me another 2 hours and 20 or so attempts to finally beat him.

At least in the process I got to enjoy more of an epic fight, learn his patterns, and generally get better at the game. Here is the video of me beating him:

Wow this is amazing

don't think it is patched I mean does From even remember that they made this game after the DLC release? they haven't fixed farm pacing and CA too etc.

Well I tried it for LoLz on my NG+2 character, and Kos aggroes as soon as he takes damage no matter where you are standing. That video was posted 10 days before the last patch 1.09. No idea if the cheese was known before that video was posted or not. It probably was lol

Oh I just remembered Peeve(twitch guy) tried to do something like this and failed

so yeah maybe it was patched lol.

Do you know if I have to buy the Grand Cathedral gate key? Or is it hidden somewhere I can find?
You can buy the grand cathedral gate key or there is another path you can take. When I first playthrough the game, I couldn't find the "hidden" path and just bought the grand cathdral key. The hidden path is up around the Healing Church Workshop and requires dropping down.

Btw I am assuming you mean the Hunter Chief Emblem you can buy from the bath messengers when you said grand cathdral key :)

Yeah I'm talking about the emblem

so either the key or the hidden path and both lead past the big gate? Thanks

In case you fight him again, his kid buu attack is easy to dodge

lock on and half a second after he casts it dodge toward him

are there 2 people free for Mico, his Arcane attack ruins me?

done it, just put constant pressure on him

You can also cheese him with ranged attacks right before he jumps into the final arena. It's pretty funny. I think that's how everyone does it on higher NG+++'s

where can i farm the items that upgrade weapons to +4/+5/+6?
and the items that upgrade to +7/+8/+9?

For Chunks collect all from the main game

http://bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/Blood+Stone+Chunk

Then kill bosses in chalice dungeons to farm them. If your not massively over leveled then you can get a lot of co-op using the short root chalice very quickly.

For shards, they drop very frequently in NG+ and higher from lots of enemies. You can also buy them for two insight. You can also look up on that wiki which enemies drop them.

So that chalice I got from BSB, does that mean it's time to start doing chalice dungeons? Or should I wait for a certain point to do those?

So, here's the character of my first playthrough. Say hi to Bruce!

I beat the final boss. Even the one after what I assumed was the final boss! Lucky me, I ate those worm things without knowing about the consequences.

What a game! It might be one of the best ever...Hard to top, really!

@DieNgamers That definitely looks like Bruce. Also, congrats. And I think like you, Bloodborne is hard to top, probably one of the best ever.

^That's awesome!
I really miss BB detailed face creation in Dark Souls 3 :(

Same here. The basic female character in Bloodborne is better than anything you can make in DS3. Tried to make Lady Mary and could, just barely.

Speaking of which, I am on my NG++ on DS3 and farming the Platinum achievement is really hard. But are going to do it regardless before going back to BB since BB is the far superior product in every way. And the DLC is way harder as well than DS3 as well.

I read the blue eyed werewolves in upper grand cathedral drop the chunks. is that true?
