I actually like the first few episodes as well. The mediocrity hits right in the middle IMO which is where most of the negative backlash came from. I feel it picks up again in the back half.

It's definitely not some garbage show, but is a step down compared to something like Daredevil.

Hope in the next Defenders solo series they spend less time on having the heroes become the heroes and more time being the heroes...

I guess what I'm saying is I'm tired of the reluctant hero origin for each of the principle Defenders that isn't Daredevil.

Doreen Green (Squirrel Girl)
Superpower: “The powers of a squirrel, the powers of a girl” (is acrobatic, strong, can fight, can talk to squirrels)
Doreen is a totally empowered fangirl. She is a natural leader—confident and tough, but not innocent. Craig Hollis (Mister Immortal)

Dwayne is a local celebrity “hero” with his very own YouTube channel. Brilliant, strong, noble, and maybe a bit full of himself, Dwayne is a shameless self-promoter and entrepreneur. But he also deeply believes in justice — at least his version of it. Dwayne hides the fact that he comes from a really rich family because he’s afraid he’ll lose his street cred.

Robbie Baldwin (Speedball)
Superpower: Can launch kinetic balls of energy
Robbie grew up watching Quinjets take off from Avengers Tower and loves the idea of being a hero. He’s an impulsive and immature people-pleaser with a misplaced sense of confidence. Although you would think throwing kinetic balls of energy would be awesome and effective – his are completely out of control.

Zack Smith (Microbe)
Superpower: Can talk to germs
Zack is a shy hypochondriac whose ability nearly makes him a telepath — the germs tell him where you’ve been, what you ate and who you hung out with. It’s impossible to keep secrets around him. He’s a big sweet guy the team takes under their wing, and they help him find and grow his own confidence.

Deborah Fields (Debrii)
Superpower: Low level telekinetic; trickster
Deborah is proud, funny and quick witted. Confidently out as a lesbian, Deborah has experienced deep loss in her personal life as a direct result of super “heroics.” She can take care of herself, or at least says she can. She’s the one who calls people on their BS and has no fear of putting her opinions out there.

Man, Mr. Immortal and Night Thrasher seem like pretty loose interpretations... remaining tentatively interested.

Also, loving that GotG soundtrack. Brandy is one of my absolute favorites.

It would be soooo easy to just put spoiler bars around iffy things for future films, and talk openly about released films, so it could be a real actual MCU community and not one only for people who want to spoil upcoming movies. But there's always one or two people who are weirdly militant about how we MUST talk about upcoming spoilers openly.

I know, there are gray areas, "is Hulk in Thor 3 a spoiler?" But let's be real, it's pretty easy to tell what kind of things will be in trailers (and thus not spoilers), and what kind of things might be secret cameos or tied to important plot beats. It's the easiest thing in the world to just spoiler-tag something if it seems iffy.

I wasnt that serious about the spoiler thing, it was half joking, cause I now have to pay a bit attention to not look at the Tracklist because thats my post important thing about GotG 2. Dont care if I knew if Thanos is in this, but the songs are important ;)

Actually skipping a spoiler OT. Gonna keep up what I did for the Rogue One OT and just make that a spoiler thread with the reviews thread for spoiler tagged discussion. I'm holding off on posting it for at least another few days. I have it all done now.

I seriously disacourage you from this... Rogue One suffered from serious spoiler bombs because people didnt understood the concept.

Spoiler complaints are really annoying and it's also annoying to see a thread fill up with black bars because people think that their fanfiction is considered to be spoiling something. If anyone thinks that the stuff posted in here ruins their enjoyment of a movie, then they should just stay out since most of the "spoilers" in here are innocuous and just get overblown by people who are way too sensitive.

I am so incredibly hyped for Cloak and Dagger and loved what I saw in the trailer. I also like my teen-targeted shows. Their powers looked cool in what little we saw of it.
