Awesome, can't wait! I finally watched the first one earlier this year and I was so mad at myself for not watching it sooner.

I wonder if they'll make any mention as to the entire ruling class of the planet having their heads exploded.

Worried it'll be like John Wick 2 and lean into all the small things people liked about the first film without any of the restraint or understanding as to why they worked.

Sounds solid enough. I'm glad to read that it's not just retread of the first, and they go in some different directions. Firth being back still confuses me however.

John Wick 2 was well-received though, and a rare modern day straight action sequel that did better then the first.

Yeah I'm really interested to see how they explain that.
I mean there was blood coming out of the back of his head when Valentine shot him. I don't know how he lived through that much less is still completely coherent and only lost an eye.

This is a tough sequel to make considering the first movie is so good. As long as it isn't complete garbage I'm in to see it this weekend.

The trailer looks like absolute garbage imo. But seeing these initial (and mixed) review scores makes me slightly optimistic.

Loved the first Kingsmen and it was a proper unexpected surprise. But the trailer for the new one kind of feels like they took the fan favorite parts of the previous film (ie the church fight) and tried to make a film with those parts in over drive.

The Variety and NY Post reviews read like the movie went right over their heads. It sounds like more of what Secret Service offered with some adjustments, people should know what they're getting into.

I agree the first Kingsman 2 trailer wasn't that good. The recent trailer I saw before IT was pretty good though.

The trailer for the first Kingsman wasn't that hot either so at least there is some consistency.

I'll be checking this out on Friday even if the run time is throwing up some red flags for me.

I imagine he probably had some escape / back-up plan, or fake vest wearing, knowing the possibility that he would be killed in that particular mission, either that or they're going go with some "comic book" escape plan / resurrection type thing. Should be interesting to learn either way, hopefully.
