I've just read about this peripheral called the Titan One, it's a USB dongle that allows you to use any of the previously mentioned controllers with any of the platforms. That's it. The description also mentions wheels and fight sticks, so that's pretty great.

Here is a table of what works with what:

Playstation 4 Support!

Gaming Keyboard & Mouse on PS4
Full Scripting and Macro Capabilities on PS4
Full Modded Controller Game Pack Support on PS4!
Full Wireless Authentication & Support! (Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter / Dongle required)
Full Xbox One Support!

Gaming Keyboard & Mouse on Xbox One
DualShock 3 Controller on Xbox One *Wired & Wireless*
DualShock 4 Controller on Xbox One *Wired & Wireless*
Xbox 360 Controller on Xbox One *Wired & Wireless*
PS3 Joystick on Xbox One
Xbox 360 Joystick on Xbox One
Wii U Pro Controller on Xbox One
Wiimote on Xbox One
Full Scripting and Macro Capabilities on Xbox One
Full Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 Support!

Gaming Keyboard & Mouse on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3
DualShock 3 Controller on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 *Wired & Wireless*
DualShock 4 Controller on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 *Wired & Wireless*
Xbox 360 Controller on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 *Wired & Wireless*
PS3 Joystick on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3
Xbox 360 Joystick on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3
Wii U Pro Controller on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3
Wiimote on Xbox 360 & Playstation 3

I almost asked why no Xbox One on PS4 but remembered between touch pad and gyro you're basically screwed. Probably why there aren't many third party ones yet either.

The guy who created the Titan One is the same guy who created the GamePadProxy, Cronus and CronusMAX. He had a falling out with the Cronus and CronusMAX groups, due to them not paying him, so he abandoned support on those 2 devices and created the Titan One. He basically allowed them to rebrand his device and sell it as their own, but that didn't work out very well, as he never got the money that he as promised. So he took some time, revamped the internal design, and added a lot of new features to it before releasing it again as the Titan One.

I can't tell with that list. Can I use an Xbone One controller on the PS4?

You can if you connect it to a PC or laptop and run the MaxAim DI plugin thats included free with Gtuner Pro. The ps4 requires constant authentication so your ps4 controller must be connected at all times either via USB cable or bluetooth. You can also use PC controllers such as fight sticks, flight slicks, joysticks, steering wheels, etc on your consoles the same way.

I'm thinking about it just to use old fight sticks with my XB1. I wouldn't have to spend 200 bucks, that would be great.

So to get to use my MadCatz TE for 360 on my PS4 it'll be 360 controller > PC > PS4, plus a DS4 > Titan One for authentication.

That's one way to avoid having to buy another fightstick I guess, but it's hard to believe there's no lag using that particular method.

I've had the original cronus for a while now and I just about use it for anything. PS3 arcade stick on PC, 360 controller on PS3, WiiU Pro on everything. The only thing I wish it also supported was Wii U console. From my experience, I've never felt any lag from it myself while playing fighting games and the thing that made me buy it were the videos of people testing the lag and their impressions of it. However lots of other people have stated otherwise so I'm guessing it might not be consistent among units.

Weren't CronusMax's notorious for input lag and, on rare cases, frying usb ports?

This was because of their shoddy manufacturing facility. The Titan One was also revamped to make sure this is no longer an issue. The Titan One was redesigned and the firmware was optimized to ensure no lag at all.

Correct, sort of. You'll plug in your MadCatz TE into your PC USB port. You'll plug the Titan One into your PS4 and the PS4 controller can be plugged in (or use bluetooth adapter) to the Titan One. A cable from the PROG port will run to your PC and on your PC you will be running Gtuner Pro and the MaxAim DI plugin. It sounds way more complicated than it is, and literally it takes minutes to setup and configure. How you connect your (360 or other) controller to your PC is up to you, if it can run wirelessly then by all means go ahead.

I was actually tossing up between this and the Cronus but I'm leaning more towards Titan. I'd only use it for the keyboard support, can't stand playing FPS games on controller.

Wait so does this in fact work on wheels? So... Can I use the logitech G27 on my PS4? Please?

Yes it does. It will allow you to use just about any controller on any console. Keep in mind for the PS4 you will need to use a PC or laptop running the Gtuner Pro software and MaxAim DI plugin. But you can use any wheel such as those made for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PC, etc on your PS4 using this method. And due to this you have a wide array of configuration options for things like deadzones, etc. Essentially with this you can make your steering wheel feel exactly the way you want it to, to suit your driving style and feel :)

Was hoping wii u would be on the list, looks like I'll still have to wait till nearly December to use my ps3 controller on it

As stated earlier, the Cronus is no longer supported. The Titan One is your only option if you'd like to continue to get new features and updates. There's a new feature coming out here shortly that will allow you to create scripts using visual blocks instead of writing lines of code. What this means is within seconds you can create your own mods and if you'd like share them with others. So for example when GTA5 comes out for the PS4, you won't have to wait for a GamePack or rely on other peoples scripts. You can use the Visual Scripting Editor to create your own unique mods, which of course means you'll have an unfair advantage ;) Or you can share with others with the click of a button, so they can share your new creation.

Heres a sneak peak video on their youtube page that was just released today.

Wii U support is coming :D, it will be available as a free firmware upgrade within Gtuner Pro once its ready. You may be able to be a beta tester and get early access if you sign up for the consoletuner.com forum.

Very few games come with touchpad support right now. This is actually something they are working on fixing, the code is in place right now but for some reason the PS4 doesn't pick up on it like it does other button inputs. Once it's fixed it will of course be a free firmware update :)

Would this make it possible to play fighting games via keyboard on PS3/PS4?

Yes absolutely. You could even play fighting games with a steering wheel if you really wanted to with this, haha!

Oh and while we are on the subject of fighting games, the Macro feature on this is pretty awesome. With it you can create, record, and playback macros. So that insane combo you've always wanted to pull off in a match but can't get the right timing down is as easy as pressing a button to unleash. Heres a video demo of tekken being played online with the Titan One.

More to the topic, do mouse and keyboard controls work well enough that someone could get a competitive advantage from using this? Seems a bit over the top, but it'd be pretty crazy to run around in an FPS using a mouse while everyone else was stuck on a controller, even if they do have aim assist.

You wouldn't really have an unfair advantage with a keyboard and mouse. But the controls would feel more familiar if you are used to PC gaming. So with that you would have somewhat of an advantage given that you don't feel out of place using a controller but rather right at home using a keyboard and mouse. Or rather you just wouldn't have such a big disadvantage.

On a side note, one really cool advantage of being able to do this is handicap gamers can now have full access to games previously not playable to them. SpecialEffect has been using these for disabled gamers. So the next time you play, one of your teammates might be physically disabled, but equally as capable :)

The reviews on Amazon seem to be hit or miss for this.

Ya I had issues with 2 of mine on different systems. Not sure if it needs some bake time(reworking) or what. I continue to use my Cronus until its a bit more ready for market.

I'm sorry to hear of your issues. Did you contact them on their forum? Jefferson (the creator) is very quick at fixing any bugs you may run into. The development of this is on-going and as new features are added it may introduce some small bugs in other areas, but a quick post on the forum will grab his attention and he'll quickly reply with a solution or firmware update.

There really is no comparison between the Titan One and Cronus, the Cronus line has been discontinued and is no longer supported. And btw that firmware is at least 10 months old since its last official update and does not have any of the new features and optimizations of the new firmware. I have both devices and the Titan One runs with no lag what-so-ever, while the old cronus still has about 5-10ms of lag, which when compared side to side is a big difference.

I'm baffled.

I have a Cronusmax and love it. Works great for me.

Titan One itself, and it's website looks suspiciously like a carbon copy of the CronusMAX site.

When I went to the Cronus forums to see what's going on I came across this:
cronusdevice.com

Mr. Golubev had invested over $500,000 to introduce the Cronus Device to the public by end of 2012. The inventor “Jefferson Paulo Koppe” decided one day to go back to Brazil since he was a foreign national, without making anymore contact with Alex Golubev who had the responsibility to provide support and firmware updates to the customers. It was not possible since, Mr.Koppe had stolen the source code to the Cronus Device from Techart before disappearing. This was the main reason why customers were left hanging, with no support and new releases of firmware. Later in 2013, after recruiting a new development team, the Cronus Device was reintroduced to the market as CronusMax (the new development team are now called ControllerMAX) with development and production moving forward with new facilities, a new distribution network and a community of over 116,000 members. This is the real future of this device

Interesting..

There's some behind the scenes drama for sure, but the Titan One is still the newest evolution of the tech, so it's not like there's a contest for people who don't have one or the other yet.

Interesting..

Jefferson Koppe is the inventor and the only developer behind all these devices. He originally created it in 2010 as the GamePadProxy and sold units himself. He quickly realized he couldn't take care of both sales and development by himself and was contacted by Alex G. to rebrand it and sell them though his company. Jefferson agreed. This agreement lasted just a few months as Alex reportedly took the money he promised to invest in promotion and gambled it away at a casino, he apparently also bought a motorcycle with whatever was left over from that. Jefferson was worried he would be responsible for Alex's debts in the business name (they created) so he left when his work visa expired and their partnership broke up.

A few months later Jefferson was contacted by Paul from Team Xecuter and he offered the same type of deal. Jefferson agreed to allow him to once again rebrand it as the CronusMAX. After 2 months and several missed payments (to Jefferson for his work), Jefferson decided to leave and start his own company (ConsoleTuner). Since Jefferson left the CronusMAX team, he no longer supports its development and is the only one with the source code that can make new features and fix bugs. Therefore the CronusMAX has been stuck in its current state since then which was about 8 months ago. Since then CronusMAX has hired hackers from Paradox to reverse engineer his Gtuner Pro software and crack his CronusMAX firmware so they can continue to clone and make non-registered devices work with their pirated software.

Jefferson is taking steps to shut down these people, but due to the way they operate (and always have, with mod chips, and other illegal products) it's going to be very hard to be rid of them completely, as their group spans many countries around the world.

Jefferson took several months to redesign and make the firmwares for the Titan One and CronusMAX incompatible by completely redesigning the circuitry of the Titan One and thus protecting the new firmwares from being nullified and distributed illegally.

The bottom line is Jefferson is the ONLY person who has ANY rights to this technology as he is the one who created it and continues to develop for it. The drama comes in because the previous groups are still trying to profit off Jeffersons work (of which he has NEVER been paid for). The agreement he has with his current distributors is working out well and he is finally receiving the income from his invention he deserves.

So the bottom line is this, if you want one of these and wish to support Jefferson's hard work, please buy the Titan One and tell your friends about it.

That's correct. There is no real comparison other than they both vaguely do the same thing. In fact the GamePacks for the CronusMAX are all fake, they have actually copied the Call of Duty Series GamePack and renamed it so it looks like a lot more games are supported, when in fact they are not. Jefferson releases real GamePacks for Gtuner Pro on a weekly basis for the most popular games. It actually takes quite a bit of work to create a GamePack and nobody else has the technology or understanding to do it.

I will say though they have created a nice box for their counterfeit product. But then again since they don't actually have to pay anyone for research and development (i.e.: Jefferson), they can afford to polish their turd.

Dude stop double posting.

Also I don't mean to come off as backseat moderating, I'm just curious. Do you have any connection to the situation you're discussing? You seem to be really knowledgeable on the subject.

I'm good friends with Jefferson so i know quite a bit about the back story of his devices. It just upsets me when credit is given to the wrong people and not the guy who created it all. (CronusMAX Team) have been taking credit for his work for months now and if I can help spread the truth I am more than happy to do so. And of course I use one myself and have several of the previous devices as well (GamePadProxy, Cronus, CronusMAX) in my collection as well.

I've been looking into getting one of those to use my old fightstick on the new consoles. Wasn't sure which one to get, but reading the backstory the Titan One is the one I'll get.

The design of the device itself is eerily similar to CronusMax

Like its almost identical

As stated above, Jefferson is the one who created them all (GamePadProxy > Cronus > CronusMAX > Titan One). He no longer supports any of the Cronus devices as they are no longer licensed to use his firmware or software.

Would this allow me to use a Thrustmaster TX wheel for the Xbox One on a PS4?

From Product Listing: Compatible with both Xbox One and PC. Thrustmaster drivers for PC are available for download from the ts.thrustmaster.com website.

Yes you'd be able to use this pretty easily. You would have to connect a PC or laptop to your PS4 due to its constant authentication requirement. Your connection would look like this:

Thrustmaster > PC > Titan One > PS4

Your PS4 controller will need to be plugged into the Titan One via USB or bluetooth (bluetooth 4.0 adapter required). On your PC you will run Gtuner Pro with the MaxAim DI plugin enabled. The MaxAim DI plugin also allows you to configure and tweak your steering wheel so it feels just like you want it. Using this setup you can connect ANY controller to your PS4. On other consoles this is not required due to the fact they only require startup authentication, but the PS4 (at least for now) requires constant authentication.

FYI, Gtuner Pro and the MaxAim DI plugin are free with the purchase of the Titan One :)
