Thor vs Wonder Woman | DEATH BATTLE

Gaara has fought people much faster and stronger than anyone in Avatar, like Rock Lee moves at supersonic speed as a genin. Nothing even moves that fast in Avatar, much less bend elements at that speed (well there is lightning, but even then lightning jutsu is pretty common in Naruto). Not only that, they assume she would have absolutely control over his sand, which doesn't make sense because even in Avatar when two people who bends the same element go at it, they have to basically compete for control over it. Gaara made sand out of basically a whole forest and can harden it to basically to tank explosions. Like I don't know what the point of posting that gif when Gaara literally had to do that except with a mile wide area and he had to make it really deep too. I don't even like Gaara but it's pretty obvious the scale of the stuff he works at is much larger and even does things more intricate like creating clones and a giant body for the tailed beast. She also had an issue fighting in sand because it messes with her sense, which Gaara can create on the spot.

Gaara's a little inconsistent on how well his sand defenses can protect him, and they used post-Shukaku Gaara for that fight. Also her sand issue was fixed by the point where that GIF takes place. That's why she's able to do stuff like that. They didn't assume she'd have absolute control, just enough to deflect, which is typically how fights in that show go.

Not really, all the character that's gone through his defenses have been extremely fast and/or used a extremely powerful attack, plus the series explains that his defense are not from Shukaku. Also the problem with the whole deflection thing is that unlike most benders Gaara can maintain constant control of his sand, So it would be way more difficult for her to deflect his attack.

Thier Gaara vs Toph fight was like the height of idiocy. Gaara operates on a totally different level than people in the Avatar-verse. It doesn't matter is Top can sense earth in the air if she is nowhere fast or strong enough to do anything about it.

I always assumed MCU Cap was based on Ultimate Captain America who, unlike 616 Cap was actually like a class 10 in strength?
Class whatever power wise he's based on Ultimate cap (personality is more 616) who is straight up Superhuman and once knock out with well aimed strikrs hulk

He got up but still impressive and he has a healing factor as well and got over being a vampire because of it

THEY are not pretending he is peak human or whatever like 616

Nah, Charizard vs. Agumon/Greymon/War Greymon was probably the height.

I think most benders have more experience fighting other people who use their specialized moveset than most ninja. Control issues are more of a firebender thing.

Benders have experience fighting other benders. A lot of the techniques ninjas can do with elements would be impossible for benders.

First we had Tony fighting Thor for more than five seconds in The Avengers and now this. SMH.

5 secs was Thor crushing his gauntlets like "really?"

Thor is slow as fuck. He doesn't have the speed to compete at the Supes/WW level. Jane Foster might, though.

Also wrong.

Thor has lots of speed feats its just as a power speed isn't treated the same way in Marvel as it is in DC. The Silver Surfer can travel at ludicrous speeds beyond Superman and Wonder Woman, and Thor has fought him. He's escaped black holes which would require FTL speed. It just isn't really a thing in Marvel they focus on.

Typically they focus on his power, but battle speed wise, he is more than competent.

This was the correct result, on a normal day WW bodies Thor.

What I don't get is why this is controversial.

Because it's not true. Diana could lasso herself and she'd tell you she's not beating a literal God who tanks blasts from all powerful cosmic beings and shrugs them off. She's powerful, Batmans og plan was basically to trick her into fighting an opponent until her heart/body gave out, but imagine her fighting Black Adam, except stronger with a hammer that outclassed all of her weapons.

Thor vs Supes is an argument. Wonder Woman? No.

But who could she beat? Most everyone else.
She takes most of the Avengers from Cap to Tony, her run ends at Hulk or Thor or Sentry. Hyperion takes her, Power princess is a win, so is Gamora, Danvers gives her a fight, pissed-off Spidey would be entertaining...

Ultimate Cap and 616 Cap are the same in powers. Ultimate Cap is just more brutal because the Ultimate Universe is trash
That would just mean that 616 Cap is way faster and stronger than they say he is in universe because Ultimate Cap is pretty consistently shown as being superhuman and not just peak human.

He, when Wonder Woman was "upopular" she lost to Rogue... now she won against Thor.

Well, a fight against two fictional characters will always not be reasonable. You just decide who you want to win and find arguments to support it.

She isn't gonna deflect anything though, she is neither fast enough or strong enough to either dodge or tank an attack. He creates literal tsunamis of sand out of the environment, and he can still do it even post-Shukaku because he also does it in the Ninja War, where he does a ton of insane stuff that even exceeds the time when he did have the beast.

latest

And that also brings up the question of how Toph is even gonna hurt the guy because he has automatic defenses that move fast enough to stop supersonic opponents and is hard enough to shield against extremely sharp metal weapons and explosions. Just the scale of everything is way bigger than Avatar. Plus the dude can fly in the air, her only method of attack then is to chuck boulders at him, and even chunks of metal would be pretty easy for him to get around or just tank.

I'm glad they didn't call her "Wonder Stripper" in this video like they did in Wonder Woman vs. Rogue fight, goes to show how much good media exposure can sway the opinion of a character.

I read comics in the late 80s - mid 90s, and WW comics were like street level stories and Thor was going toe to toe with Surtur and demons from cosmic dimensions. I just never imagined WW to be on the level of stuff like that.

he flew to the sun in minutes and outpaced pietro. history doesnt stand with brevoort

In Mario Kart terms Thor has a high top speed but slow acceleration, if that makes any sense.

But in no way is he actually slow. He casually spins his hammer beyond the speed of light

People not understanding the scope of Diana's power and the limits of Thor's

Also Diana is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> as a combatant
