Yeah, it probably has to do with animations (the HD port of Shadow of the Colossus was locked to 30fps because of this).

I wonder how exactly it would affect the game(s) and gameplay.

I have to say that, also if I was disappointed by some aspects of Nintendo's E3, they are presenting and will lanuch a good amount of very good games

Decided to play some DKC Returns on my new HDTV. The game looks fantastic on my TV. I barely even notice it's in SD. I have no idea how they can make this game look much better.

And I'm quite looking forward to playing with the GamePad and no waggle to roll. (Oddly this never bothered me in Galaxy)
