Seems like there must have been an event and the embargo just lifted.

Rock Paper Shotgun

Above all, it’s a relief to see a development team at ease with their own creation. The improvements to the tactical combat and the management of soldiers and the base are building on the strengths of Enemy Unknown, and the bigger picture – the management of the conflict itself – feels like something entirely new. Respectful to the past but not beholden to it. If everything holds together, this could be XCOM’s finest hour.

As Solomon explained, "Even if you carry them, dead's dead. Carrying is a way to save certain soldiers, ones who are unconscious or bleeding out. If you don't carry them out to the evac point, they are considered dead. There are some cases where you have to evac soldiers in the middle of a mission, like poisoned squadmates . But the only practical reason to carry a dead guy home is if they have nice gear."

Greenmangaming?!

The new classes are more distinct than ever before. Grenadiers can specialise in demolitions, laying waste to cover and making the most of XCOM 2's improved environmental destruction. The Ranger can stay concealed even when others are exposed, using added mobility to get up close and personal in order to dish out incredible damage with their sword. Sharpshooters now benefit from pistol marksmanship that makes sidearms much more effective, not to mention Squadsight bonuses that can make snipers very lethal indeed. Finally, the Specialist's Gremlin drone can be upgraded in several different ways, increasing its potential as a weapon or perhaps as a mobile field medic. You can even have your drone hack special Advent terminals and turrets to gain strategic advantages. Again, however, you'll have to balance your chances of success against the risk of alerting all enemies to your presence, or having reinforcements zero in on your location.

Greenmangaming actually has both a gameplay video AND a 20 minute interview on their article, so it's more in depth than I expected for a retailer.

Probably a bunch more out there too.

Join Green Man Gaming for a special mission as we check out what’s new in XCOM 2 and interview the game’s lead producer, Garth DeAngelis.
“We lost the war,” intones an older, grizzlier Central Officer Bradford, setting the scene for XCOM 2. This is no sequel of brighter horizons and better things for team XCOM; instead Firaxis’ latest imagines a future where Humanity failed. The aliens won, the beautiful bases we constructed in Enemy Unknown were crushed, and XCOM was forced into hiding.

The hour-long playthrough on Eurogamer is fantastic, better than the more marketed beagle stuff. I'm a little concerned about destructability and all the RNGesus stuff on higher difficulties, but everything else is beautiful.

So many nice little touches, like having "pistol overwatch" as a base option for snipers. No swap weapon, overwatch, remember to swap back next turn.

And the line of sight indicator!!

Hacking has me slightly worried. Those percentages were dangerously low and the added drawback certainly didn't help.

Don't know if this was in the livestream or not, but Beaglerush's third video shows that civilians can alert the Advent to your squad's presence.
