On this actually being true or not:

We will wait and see throughout the day, and I will attempt to stay on top of this and update the OP as necessary.

If I am not around, I hope a mod will help me out.

EDIT AGAIN: It appears these are older "never before seen" documents from 2003. There is no new information here. This is just the first time the public has been given an opportunity to view documents regarding an older case brought on against Michael Jackson.

VanityFair Update (June 21, 10:10 A.M.): A representative from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department gave Vanity Fair the following statement regarding the documents:

Some of the documents appear to be copies of reports that were authored by Sheriff’s Office personnel as well as evidentiary photographs taken by Sheriff’s Office personnel interspersed with content that appears to be obtained off the Internet or through unknown sources. The Sheriff’s Office did not release any of the documents and/or photographs to the media. The Sheriff’s Office released all of its reports and the photographs as part of the required discovery process to the prosecution and the defense.

UniladUK An investigator told Radar Online:

The documents exposed Jackson as a manipulative, drug-and-sex-crazed predator who used blood, gore, sexually explicit images of animal sacrifice and perverse adult sex acts to bend children to his will.

He also had disgusting and downright shocking images of child torture, adult and child nudity, female bondage and sadomasochism.

Based on my training, this type of material can be used as part of the “grooming” process, by which people (those seeking to molest children) lower the inhibitions of their intended victims and facilitate the molestation of said victims.

Ron Zonen, Santa Barbara Senior Assistant District Attorney, said:

A lot of this stuff was used to desensitise the children, and Michael admitted taking one child after another into bed with him for long periods of time.

We identified five different boys, who all made allegations of sexual abuse.

The report, which was previously unseen, says at least seven collections of images depicted boys in their teenage years – and some younger – naked or partially clothed in the musician’s bedroom.

Jackson’s home was raided by more than 70 members of the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office and Sheriff’s Department in November 2003 as part of a child sex abuse investigation.

Material was also found outside of his Vegas home at a storage unit following the issue of a warrant. Police were reportedly tipped off that the disgraced icon was attempting to hide the illegal material from investigators.

Included in the seizure were ‘notes, diaries, documents, photographs, audiotapes and videotapes’, plus computer hard drives.

Jackson was charged in 2003 with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of providing an intoxicant to a minor under the age of 14, but was cleared of all charges in June 2005.

It is alleged that the star – who could have faced up to 20 years in prison – paid out more than £100 million to silence as many as 20 victims of sexual assault.

Yo those documents look fairly convincing. NSFW, it's censored where need be though.

The guy was a real sick fuck. Nothing would surprise me. But at the same time, he's long dead.... why air this out now?

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
If they had all this physical evidence and it seems legally obtained under the rules of the law, how did they not throw the book at him. I realize he's a rich superstar and all but wouldn't there still be charges brought up even if none of his victims wanted to press charges themselves?

I am not in the least bit shocked by this revelation. I'm offended yes, but not shocked. Yo...I actually just started reading beyond the title...fuck Whacko Jacko.

I don't understand this myself.

He's long dead. Why not?

Besides which, this is maybe the first real solid piece of evidence the public has seen that hasn't had some cloud immediately cast upon it. Up until now it was mostly "his word or theirs" stuff that made it harder to parse due to the settlement agreements.

This is photographic evidence of his pornography collection.

I thought this shit was known.

It was known-ish. It wasn't known. Not to this extent.

But then you have a case where every one of your witnesses is bribed into not telling the truth.

I am confused, why wasn't this used in the courts, why wasn't it leaked once he got off scott free from bribes?

This is huge news.

not really, tbh. This stuff had been known for years because someone involved in the report leaked the details a few years ago. I remember reading those exact details.

Of course it's a little more official now, but this stuff has been circulating for a long time.

The guy SLEPT WITH RANDOM CHILDREN IN HIS BED.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

I'm really surprised that so many people are surprised.

I always feel sorry for the people who discover this stuff and have to sift through it.

I know someone who works for CEOP (I think they're still called that). Took this person a very long time to adjust. CEOP are very careful about exposure to the "material" if I remember correctly.

He paid like 200 million dollars in hush money. Being rich and famous will let you get away with a lot. Look at that DuPont heir who got a slap on the wrist for getting caught molesting a young child. And, he was just rich.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

What a nightmare job, but more power to the people that can do it and get justice for the children.

Fucked up if true. But from the Vanity Fair link:

Radar Online, the source that other outlets are citing, is a tabloid/rag.

I don't think this is new news, I remember hearing about it way back when it happened. I think the problem was that many of the nude children images were part of "art" books.

Surprising, but not shocking, I guess.

The guy was obviously fairly mentally unbalanced but generally I like to think the best of people until I'm proven otherwise.

Looks like I was just proven otherwise.

Even if none of his victims pressed charges wouldn't heaps of child porn have gotten him slammed in the first place. Some pedophiles are caught simply because they have child porn on their computers, not because they had known victims come forth. I would have figured some childporn would have gotten him in hot shit but this sounds like TONS of child porn. Not saying money didn't play a part overall in him getting off, it most certainly did but this seems incredibly damning.

Looking for meaning in GAF
How was he cleared of all charges again? Thrown out due to lack of evidence or something?
