Shots have been fired in a Munich shopping centre and a major police operation is under way German media is reporting.

Reports say the area round the shopping centre in the district of Moosach has been sealed off, but details of the incident are sketchy.

The security forces have been on alert after a migrant stabbed five people on a train in Bavaria on Monday.

The authorities had warned of the danger of further attacks.

I'll update the thread when more details emerge.

Hopefully no one is hurt.

Facts so far

- One shooter, killed himself afterwards. 18-year old Iranian-German.
- 10 people dead, 10 people critically injured, 27 people injured.
- No connection to terrorism or refugees.
- Evidence suggests revenge as motive. Shooter glorified past shootings, had mental health issues, and felt anger towards former peers.

How do people get their hands on weapons?
At this point, you have to assume there is some collusion going on here.

Black market is my best guess.

I've had people who worked as a temp at my job tell me, that if I ever wanted a weapon, they would take me to Antwerp or Brussels and it'd be a piece of cake.
Shit is fucking scary.

(CNN)There is an ongoing "shooting spree" happening at the Olympia-Einkaufszentrum shopping mall in the Moosach district of Munich, Germany, a police spokesperson told CNN.

The spokesperson did not give any further information.
Developing story - more to come

"shooting spree" sounds very bad
