I keep forgetting that Nordic Games bought the THQ identity. Almost had a WHAT YEAR IS IT response.
The biggest thing here is that buying physical PC gets you digital Xbox One, which is pretty good, though it's also kind of a recognition that PC physical isn't really physical anymore anyways, so why not. The same is not yet true of console releases so it won't happen in the opposite direction, as much as I would love it to for totally selfish reasons.

Realistically, how can they do that? As it will be possible to buy it redeem the Win 10 version and trade their physical copy straight back.
I wonder how they are doing it with this game.
I'm guessing here but it seems that what they are doing is letting you install the game through physical but your key is still digital. I don't think there's reselling the discs for someone else to "have" the game. It's not the Xbox One vision in reverse.
EDIT: Think of it as someone bringing their xbox disc over, installing the game but you don't have access until you put in your key. That's all that this is. I believe it's a first for Windows Store though. I guess a new feature will be unveiled about the store soon enough.

People don't want cdkeys in their console games.
A code obviously, that's how it works with Steam. Discs just contain Data for Installation

Hmmm so the Xbox One Ultimate Edition doesnt have a Steelbook like Gears 4 and FH3? meh.

Looks like I'll be able to get it for peanuts shortly after launch at Best Buy then via GCU.
The installation of this implies something to me...ability to install games in a specific directory. Yea, I could be off but in most installations, when you install, you get to choose your directory. Now they could just leverage the code for choosing drive, but I'm hopeful that they made that "feature" (jeez) for UWP software.

Steam confirmed to not be happening. The Play Anywhere support indicates that there's going to be a CD key that you'll have to register in the Windows 10 store (so don't anticipate being able to resell this, either). I would be interested if there's any game data on thouse discs.

Yeah, but is it just an install that still has to activate on UWP? Because, while I like physical releases of games, that makes it useless to me.
