High Recommended Specs
Windows 7/Vista (32 or 64 bit) Intel i7 Quad Core 2.8Ghz or AMD equivalent 3GB System RAM NVIDIA® GeForce 480 1GB RAM or AMD Radeon™ HD 5870 1GB RAM At this level, you will be able to comfortably run the game at 60 fps at 1920 by 1080. AMD Phenom II X4 3.2Ghz 4GB ram Radeon 4870 2GB Plan on playing at 1440x900, so hopefully I can get close to that level of performance...but wish they would have defined what settings comfortable equaled. |

"High Recommended Specs - At this level, you will be able to comfortably run the game at 60 fps at 1920 by 1080." doesn't mean at maxed settings. It would've been nice of them to mention the settings.

Yeah I can pretty much get the 60fps on 1920x1080 but I do want to know what comfortable means. I'll probably end up turning shadows to medium anyway but if everything else has to get turned down then I'll be kind of upset.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say "high" settings, with some AA, and without the DX11 features.

Sounds pretty excellent, to be honest.

Was going to pick it up anyway, but I agree with the first sentence definitely. I've been a huge supporter of Rockstar and have always been frustrated in one way or another with almost every PC release they've done.

I'm surprised they didn't mention video. I don't think textures and audio size increases would more than double the file size. They might add to it but I'm betting the vast majority of the increase stems from video quality. At least I hope they are using higher resolution movies in there as 720p videos would look out of place.

This makes me so happy, so tired of shitty PC ports.
It will be glorious! Probably around 40ish FPS (at 1080p)

hmmm, should I even bother?
Asus P5B Deluxe Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 @ 3.2GHz 8GB DDR2 Kingmax Sapphire Radeon 6950 2GB DiRT3 Edition 1680x1050 It's still a pretty good PC and "eats" most of the new games. I've been enjoying Arkham City on almost everything high with DX11 at 50fps average. Still, I hope Rockstar doesn't screw this PC version. |
