This an MRI taken after she crashed into their team truck at just 40MPH

This is how she looks now:

While it's unfortunate they couldn't save her right eye, and she did lose some brain matter, the surgeons did an amazing job.

Hell, it's pretty amazing that she's even alive with that much damage to her skull. The fact that she looks totally normal, aside from the eyepatch, is unbelievable.
