TitanFall Beta not open: Invite waves & codes required, staggered to avoid implosion

Antitrop deserves an invite. My man has been thirsty for as long as I can recall.

I want to see if I can get away with using a Gamepad on PC. Game would look fantastic downsampled from 1440p/1800p on my TV. I want to play this shit in my bed.

Honestly, if he doesn't get in and I do, I'll definitely send him my code. I already got to play the Alpha. That said, he signed up like all of us (40 min before it went live, as it was posted on GAF early).

Unless they do it 100% randomly, I think we should all have a shot at it.

I attempted to log in for the beta, my playstation account is now successfully linked to my Origin account is what i was told....WTF?

I'm quite optimistic myself I'll get in myself. Would really like to get my hands on this game, so I can start forming my opinion on it. This game has sooooo much potential to be fun as hell.

I see all the necessary elements, I'll probably love it as soon get in my mech. Can't wait for that moment.

Just so people are aware, the titanfall twitter said "they have systems in place" for people using multiple emails to have more chances. not sure how many people did this but it could be bad for you.

Doesn't it require a unique Origin account? Like one entry per account.

I was speaking from a tweet on this account. They say "we have systems in place for that" in response to someone asking if there is a way to prevent people who use multiple emails from getting in. Not sure if anyone here tried to use more than one email for xbox one beta and might now be left out via these filter systems =(

Well hopefully the system doesnt scan for IP's that submitted more than one beta form with different emails then add those emails to a blacklist.. I Feel like someone should make a thread telling people not to use multiple emails especially if your applying for the console or trying to jack chances up.

I did because I have one email tied to Origin and one to XBL. Used both.

I hope this isn't the case. I live with my brother, we share a computer and we both signed up. I signed up for a buddy who is at work as well. I hope I didn't screw all of us!

Their "system" is probably just an IP check. Would suck if you have family members in the same house applying though. I'm pretty sure they are only going to disregard those that have like 10 + emails entered tied to the same IP. Doubt it will be an issue with two.

It cant be that unreasonable right? =( The game already doesnt have split screen so now people in the same household who have XB1's are also going to be punished? how do they expect siblings / family members of the same household to play together.

I applied with different emails for both X1 and PC so I hope I'm not affected. And besides, I can get a family member to play the X1 version.=p

I'm sure folks will be fine. I think it will only be an issue if they see like 10 emails coming from ONE IP. That would raise some red flags, obviously. No one should have applied that many times. :p Anyways, I'm not going to fret too much about it. I'm not 100% sure I understand how they are going to do it, but Vince on twitter basically alluded that it wasn't first come first serve. That anyone that enters has a chance. So I'm not sure if he means people will be randomly picked?

I only bring this up, because if they do something like that, then there is no point worrying anyways. Either you get in or you don't. lol Most of us signed up 40 min before it was officially announced live. So we can at least take solace in knowing we got ours in first.

They'll probably send invites out in several waves over the course of the beta period so they can steadily increase player count and see how the server infrastructure responds as it goes up.

Shitty for people who get last minute invites, but makes sense from a testing perspective.

I thought about using another e-mail but decided against it in case there was some issues with IP checks. I have no idea if I made the right call or not (if I don't get in but people that signed up multiple times did I'll be kicking myself for not increasing my odds). Fingers crossed.

I used my origin account email to sign up for PC and my XBL email to sign up for X1 , fingers crossed I get one of them , AI have no idea what platform to buy it for.

They've said it doesn't matter what time you sign up you'll still have a chance of being in the first wave.

Also I think the way you have to select what country you're in when signing up will help as well. So not all codes will go to the US.

The beta page also says "Thank you for applying to the Titanfall Beta. You will be emailed by EA no later than 11:59 PM PST on Feb 17th if you have been selected to participate."

So the beta will last for a little while.
