The player number isn't the problem it seems, they can't add servers right now (which they don't really have a "limit") - bug is the right way to explain it I guess.

Like every recent large scale online launch. Hypnotise yourself into thinking launch is a few days later and you'll be far happier.

So er what is this? 729p native at 15fps average? unless it's only me on screen I get some horrific framerate drops and screen-tearing, is everyone ignoring this?

Yeah anyone who thinks servers won't crash on launch day when you have millions of PC gamers and hundreds of thousands of X1 gamers hitting the servers at launch ... haha.
People never learn. Can't wait to see the launch thread. SimCity and Diablo 3 launch threads were gold back in the day.

I think you need to remember that this is EA and they have repeatedly proven themselves to be utterly incompetent as far as launches are concerned. I can't see why this launch would be any different.
The way they have handled this beta has been a disgrace. Instead of rewarding early preorders and locking beta licenses to origin accounts, they have encouraged exploitation by issuing keys that can then be hocked on eBay. For such a large corporation, they seem to know nothing about customer service.
You would have thought that they might want to clean up their PR a little but what with this, BF4 and the mobile Dungeon Keeper, they seem destined to cling on to their reputation. I just don't trust them not to screw this up any further.

So I was waiting all day,then I got wrong key,spend another hour waiting for EA support,finnaly got my key and downloaded beta on my 2mb connection(It took only 3hours and I still can't figure it why).Then I launched beta only for message that there are no servers.

They exchanged my Xbox code for the PC beta with no questions asked within the two hours they estimated. That code was still free for me to use, so I gave it to another Gaffer.
Disgraceful.
Bungie did it with Halo 3 when they had problems
Besides... it seems like they need to stress test now to uncover any other potential issues

The one match I played was ok, meh. servers down.
and i didnt even see it coming. spent all day with my family. watched some movies and played while it downloaded. got a spare 15 min to fire it up and check out the tutorial with a massive shit eating grin on my face.... only to be horribly disappointed.

So after waking up really late today to find out I got the wrong key and then waiting another hour only to have to spend another 7-10 minutes downloading and installing this I still cant play. I am literally going to die from vomiting in 1 minute if these servers dont come up.

I can get 60 fps but at a big hit to graphic quality ;_; (medium texture res makes game look like ass)
I must be blind because I couldn't find it earlier. Is it in the video options?

If they have enough to be able to throw them away like that then they have enough to supply their official pre-orders with one each.
This beta is about marketing and hype for a new IP, nothing else. Knowing EA, it will probably be completely broken when it arrives next month anyway.
PC version only.

I haven't forgotten a thing, I'm reminded of who we're dealing with every time I decide to put in my BF4 disc. And its not that they dont know about customer service, its more like they don't really care. Im also reminded when people in their company go and say that the problems didn't affect sales, when they made damn well sure people couldn't talk about any problems before launch.

The PC version keeps failing to download in Origin. Is this a common issue? I get about 8.66GB and then it tells me the download has failed to download a file or it's missing.

And after the agonizing wait for codes. EA just cant catch a break with this server stuff. I wonder how much this is going to hurt peoples opinion of titanfall. You know people are going to default to thinking its EA's fault despite it being on MS's side.
It is EA's fault either way. They're the publisher, it is their product, their image. And looking at it the servers themselves appear to be just fine, hence the people who were able to continue merrily playing as long as they never left a lobby. It is the front-end that is borked and that could be just as much EA's software as it is Microsoft's.
