Maybe that's how activation plan to bring the franchise back. Make a deal with sony to make an activation crash title (urgh) exclusive to PS4. Not a port. Not technically a sony title.

Ps. I really hope it isn't crash made by sony, ND or activation. It'd be such a waste of time and resources for the sake of nostalgia. It'd do horribly commercially.

uh what? The original ND Crash games were enormously financially successful and are still well remembered by the general public. That obscure easter egg in the PS4 launch trailer created an overnight frenzy on the internet if that tells you anything.

You remind me of the people that started crying when Retro's new game turned out to be another Donkey Kong Country game and started asking why? Uh because the series makes a shit ton more money than metroid or anything else thats why.

I guarantee you a Naughty Dog developed Crash Bandicoot would sell better than anything else they can come up with.

I am expecting disappointment but GAF always gets hyped about everything lol look at the Nintendo Direct thread lol

No matter how much I get disappointed, these "hype" things we start threads over are some of the best times I've had on the site. I love the live updating on GAF. (Although I don't like 504).

1. They don't mention it being an exclusive.

2. They say it's coming to PS4 for the first time, but not to a PS console for the first time.

I'm guessing GTA V.

I'd also like to add Little Big Planet PS4? LBP was the first game that floored me when I bought my PS3, the art style, visuals, music and creative freedom was true next gen to me at the time.

It would be seriously disappointing if Sony didn't allow Media Molecule to make another.

This almost makes sense but it's too soon.

Insomniac's thing is Sunset Overdrive, and I'm not sure they'll start spinning the plates of exclusives on rival consoles until much later this year. They're probably parallel developing a Ratchet and Clank movie tie-in game, but it's far from an anticipated announcement for a series arriving on PS4.

I'd bet you money that it wouldn't. The thing with playstation as a brand is people have grown up with it. Crash was great back when i was 9...the demographic and the gaming trends...they've changed, as have naughty dogs priorities. We grew up...so did naughty dog...but some still cling on i guess. Crash might have survived 15 years ago. But unless you're nintendo, aimed squarely at kids, platformers are a dying breed. Certainly one as basic as crash.

No amount of nostalgia would make that game sell as well as ND's more recent work. The interest in platformers, whether they have an old, irrelevant brand behind them or not, is dead.

This would be nowhere near as big as they are hyping it up to be. It is absolutely happening anyway. I think the rockstar event was to do with this.
