ONE PIECE Unlimited World Red is an action-adventure RPG game developed by Ganbarion Co., Ltd., based on the widely popular and praised ONE PIECE manga created by the renowned mangaka Eiichiiro Oda.

The New World and its fierce challenges await Luffy and his nakama. In ONE PIECE Unlimited World Red, players will live the complete Pirate adventure thanks to fun-filled escapades, action-packed battles and powerful allies in a whole new never-before-seen scenario. Who is this mysterious character speaking with Luffy and what are his plans?

ONE PIECE fans will be playing as all of their favourite Straw Hat crew members and progress through the storyline where they will be challenged by famous boss battles such as Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Caesar Clown and many others! Mastering many skills will be mandatory in order to execute numerous flashy combos, to dodge or interact with enemies etc.! Just like in the original manga, when things get bad, players will be able to get some help from a friend in an exciting co-op* gameplay to beat down strong opponents, or simply to enjoy mini-games such as fishing, bug-catching and so on!

Multiplayer is : 4 player (local only) for 3DS/Vita; 2 players (split-screen) for Wii U/PS3.

... What? Since when this is multiplatform?

No idea, I had thought it was announced and planned only for 3DS. Surprised to see it announced for more, especially Wii U, although I guess the more platforms it's on the better... (for licensed games like this at least)

It was released in Japan as a 3DS exclusive.

Still, nice to see it's coming. I was looking forward to this.

Yeah wasn't this PS3 only?

No.

Yeah. Weird situation. The game was exclusive in Japan for the 3DS. To see it being ported in places where the franchise isnt as strong is strange. Maybe Banco is planning to make another release on Japan of this game for every platform and will use those skus as an excuse, in the veins of Bravely Default.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. One Piece Unlimited World Red: For the Sequel or whatever.

The first game Unlimited Adventure was a Wii exclusive (also the only game with the Funimation cast). It was followed by Unlimited Cruise parts 1 and 2 for Wii which was ported to 3DS. So there is some logic to release on Wii U. I know I'll be there Day 1 on Wii U.

guess it didn't meet expectations in japan so they're trying to recoup losses

By spending more money in it to sell the game in markets that aren't that receptive of One Piece?

Yeah, no. That's some fine example of terrible analysis.

Ganbarion?

I guess this must be a follow up to Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise.

I mean considering the developer and the similar subtitle involved.

Vita and PS3? I wouldn't even know which one I would want to get this for. I would love to have this on a handheld, but can't deny that I'd like to play it at home on the big screen.

Kinda reeks that it's not coming to US (or hasn't been announced yet at least), I don't know what it is about the Unlimited games and the US.

This is the weirdest thing. I can understand why they would port it to PS3, but Vita and Wii U are just weird choices.

i thought one piece was pretty big in europe?

it will probably get the same rerelease treatment in japan too

This is way out of the left field. Wii U makes sense since Ganbarion did Wii Fit U, so I knew they had to be doing something other than that. PS3 and Vita is really bizarre, especially since Ganbarion hasn't done a Sony game since prior to Unlimited Adventure right? Wonder if the non-3DS versions are outsourced maybe?

Both Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise were Wii releases. Why is it weird that Unlimited World gets a Wii U release.

Every other anime game Namco has released in Europe has come over to NA for a while, just wait for Dark Souls 2 to blow over for an announcement

your analysis is even worse
