Lol yeah
I mean it in the way of Naruto and those cheesy Ninja movies leaping from the ground to. Rooftops etc.
It does need a revamp. AC3's present day stuff was a pretty good way to toy around with ideas for that, and they botched it.All they have to say is "completely new combat engine" and ill be giddy as hell
yeah, they gotta take a break.
Like i aint even finished black flag yet.
After how surprisingly good IV turned out to be, I'm down for more. Though, I need to actually see the gameplay before I decide whether they'll be purchases or rentals. The setting for these games can do a lot for me.
The change of setting and characters keeps the game fresh and makes each one feel rather unique. The only time I ever got burned out on the series was with Revelations. Three games with largely the same setting and character was too much. As long as they keep changing up the setting and refining the gameplay, I don't think I could ever get tired of the series. It also helps that I love history, and the AC games provide a fantastic way of jumping into the past. Are you not burnt out on the series yet?
I don't really read those threads granted...but do people swoop in in COD threads to complain how the series is always the same, how they stopped after COD IV blablabla? I mean, that's pretty annoying to see this in every AC thread ever.
Seems like london, I do not want. Give me something vivid like santorini, etc.
10 bucks that Robespierre is a Templar.
Looks like Anor Londo.
Is anyone even remotely excited for this?
Another year another AC.... sigh.
Sure be rippin off US colleges and now mah vidya gaemsSo, we have come to this

Not to downplay their efforts, but feudal Japan was the one historical setting that would have made me consider a purchase at this stage.
Right now, the French Revolution just does not look interesting enough.

I had a hunch the original leak was accurate. The story was just too detailed to be made up. Well done sir.
Assassins Creed is the only annual franchise I buy every game for and I like the historical settings a lot. The only AC game I truly disliked was AC3 because of the dull as drying paint setting. I really like the series returning to Europe where you can get some real cities at the sort of scale that is appropriate for an AC game. The French Revolution should provide plenty of history to retcon - if Robespierre isn't the ultimate antagonist of this game I'd be shocked.
The main thing they need to improve on AC4 is the on foot combat. A completely new combo system (eg God Of War, Yakuza) would be something that would get me super hyped about the game.
We don't know anything about this game yet, but I can't help but feel like its a massive step backwards to the Ezio trilogy. Losing the Jackdaw is going to suck
A brief exchange with a basket.I wonder if you still have that final conversation with the people you kill if they get guillotine'd
"Rest now in pea...uh hey, oh, your head, it rolled over there...sorry"
Or it's Anor Londo that looks like Notre Dame cathedral
Sometimes I think I'm the only one who doesn't want ships or wildlife or any of that bs and just wants to climb up big things.
Nothing in 4 was as cool as climbing Giotto's Campanile. or doing the Assassin's Tombs. Part of what I hated in AC 3 and 4 was they got rid of stuff where you kind of had to figure out where you were. Like running up one wall then hitting the jump to land on the other. It automated what was already an automated game.

The Dark Souls of Assassin's Creeds.
While I'm happy they're splitting the series so we can have "real" next-gen games, the development pictures do look a tad underwhelming.
Or maybe I'm just suffering from "this series has too many games".
