It's not getting delayed.
They've taken precautions this time to assure development goes as smooth and efficient as possible.
Although, being delayed because of a list minute character is possible. But I don't see it happening this time. They really can't afford it.

The game would have to be in really dire straits to get delayed to 2015. Presumably Namco needs those people back at some point.
Unless this is all Nintendo's plan to keep some of Namco's biggest internal developers from learning how to develop on PS4 and Xbox One by only working on Smash Bros.
