You're forgetting all the pre-orders that had been placed before March.

I think preorder include at time of actual sale. but I think the TF bundle is also eating up the stand alone.

EDIT: it seems preorder from February were not included

This is very surprising considering Titanfall had always been way ahead and had an extra 10 days on sale. I still think TF will be the top seller overall for the month but this could be another sign why we haven't seen any ms pr.

titanfall also has a bundle. Hence why infamous can be ahead on disk alone but trust me its no ahead of TF. I see infamous being sold well though bu well see what legs both games have. Hell both could be very front loaded

I just got a real job for the first time in my life, which means I can finally jump into next-gen without worrying about it. I expect to contribute to the PS4's sales in April. It's funny, because it's still a terrible product to buy as I don't really want any of the games on it that bad. I'll probably pick up Infamous, but I played the first two for free from PS+/the PSN hack fallout and was glad I didn't pay full price for them. Whatever, I want some new hardware and I can play some indies until the holiday season.

But now I'm afraid I'll rush through Dark Souls 2 so that I can get a PS4, and that's no good.
It's impossible to rush through a souls game. Even when you beat the game....There's far to much to do, faiths to complete and great souls to stick in your pocket.... There's far to many deaths to experience.

Do worry friends DS will wait patiently for a your return.

It's an illusion. TF had many pre-orders before March and a bundle for the late adopters. XB1 is a TF box at this point, the attach rate is going to be vvery high.

Ps4 is only sold in bundle with infamous here right now.

TF was in the top ten in Feb and Top 50 in Jan and it's in a bundle. Also, It's Amazon. See last months NPD vs February Amazon charts for reference as to why peeps need to stop looking so much into this.

Wii had 3 years of sales in 18-25M range. We need to wait before we can compare Wii and PS4. Wii was a monster during its days.

Yea, I will be also surprised if PS4 will not fall below Wii line during the summer:

Not that it matters though, it still will be selling amazingly well.

I agree amazon isn't the end all be all as I said in my last post I expect tf to be the top seller. :p. Just surprised how fast infamous shot up the charts. Didn't expect infamous to chart ahead of tf anywhere. I'm hoping that means the game is selling very well.

Still over a thousand left.

First people were like

And now they're like

Anyway, that stock showed up yesterday, so I'm guessing it's gonna take some days to see it drop. If it drops at all.
The ACIV bundle is selling decently too. ISS is gone.

I did some shopping this morning. Went to best buy, target, and wal mart. I think 449 is the new price for xb1. Not just a sale price. Each store had the a regular price tag of 449, no sale price tags used. Weirdest price drop ever, will MS make it official?

Xbone about to cross streams with Wii, but PS4 still going strong. Ridiculous generation far.

Is anyone seriously expecting SS to sell more than TF? I mean apart from GTA third person open world games do not tend to push anywhere close to the same numbers that cod-shooters do.

So even if SS only comes close that is quite an achievement.

Its the first exclusive on a new console post launch. It also doubles as a pretty good game. Throw everything you thought you knew out of the window

Yeah it's even showing the $449 price at the Microsoft store. I think that all but verifies it.

The reason they don't want to announce it is that there's a well known consumer association between low quality and early price drops. From what's being shown in this article it looks like Microsoft is actually specifically telling retailers to keep the price cut on the down low. The XBone isn't even being mentioned in a number of companies weekly ad spreads. This is gonna be one interesting March NPD.

I think sony is trying to push as much stock as they can in march not just to compete with MS, but more importantly to end their fiscal year/quarter on a good note.

Apparently March had big shipments, so the shipped numbers should be high at least. Wonder if they will stick to "sold through" after Microsoft last gave 3.9 million shipped figures. They're competing after all.

The list price at Amazon is still $499.

So incompetent they are selling every console they ship, and their most notable first party title had a 33% attach rate.

I agree. E3 last year was pretty much the marketing for ps4. Why spend millions in advertising when you can't even keep your product on the shelf?

Any particular reason Titanfall's (pre-)sales would be any more or less front-loaded than inFamous'?

Perhaps people bought an XB1 throughout the last couple of months for Titanfall whereas people have likely been buying PS4's "on hype" and thus will be looking for games to buy?

One possibility perhaps however unlikely. In essence a larger portion of individuals who wanted to buy Titanfall on XB1 already bought the XB1 whereas Infamous will be a good to great game for new adopters of PS4. Or maybe not

Kind of shock for me to see infamous SS now ranked better than Titanfall for March month on amazon

Titanfall sold well. Bank on that.

What I find more surprising is that for 2014 best sellers so far, Xbone only has TWO actual video games in that list for the top 100.

Titanfall at #6.
And Ghosts at #64.

Contrast that to the PS4.

11 games in the top 100.

Even ghosts, an Xbox associated game, is significantly higher on the PS4 list.

Found that interesting.

Sold Well considering 9 months of straight hype about the game? It being the only big release on the console till probably this time 2015? Sold well condering it is on 2 other platforms?

What sort of number would mean " sold well " here? I would say anything under 5,000,000 copies would be a major failure for a game with this much hype behind it for so long. You literally heard about this game at every single show, and nearly every single interview. Anywhere you went on the internet, this game where there in ads. They even let every single PC/X1 owner play this game during BETA just to give people the experience and solidify the sale.

I dunno though, the silence makes me think the game may not of sold as well as expected ( less then 2,000,000 ). This game was expected to launch the X1 into #1 spot for a good amount of time. If it was only a blip in the 2014 radar, that would spell bad news for MS the rest of the year when they are so lax on exclusive software of any kind and the PS4 is so full of it.

We don't know how TF will sell on the 360 although Gamestop's little quips do suggest XB1 sales are much greater.

I imagine the game didn't cost that that much to develop considering respawn is small and since MS likely footed most of the marketing bill, I don't think the expectations are going got be crazy for it

That would be lifetime numbers for it and maybe even high numbers considering the 360 is probably going to constitute a smaller amount at this point

I think maybe 3 million lifetime would be fine for it although I'm making that number based on nothing

I think it sold well considering the platforms it was on.

It obviously didn't do GTA V numbers.

And lets ignore the marketing and all that. Just based on the video game. I think it sold well. 1M-1.5M would be "sold well".

Being front-loaded really isn't a bad thing. I think most successful game are front-loaded. The amount of games that really have serious legs each year are pretty rare. Those games are usually split between titles that sneak up on people (like Goldeneye and GTA3) and the mega franchises (Call of Duty and GTA).

So is the x1 price cut permanent. Went to Bestbuy and Walmart and they have the x1 for $449 as the price. Says roll back at walmart not mentioned as a sale.

If it wasn't for the disappointing launch in Japan, PS4 could be leading 2:1 right now. It will be interesting to see how things will develop once FFXV shows up.

7 million ps4 soon...but time for Sony to excite the core again with updates and future releases...

TF will do great numbers I believe, Infamous will be behind it but perhaps not by so much. Would be surprised if ps4 outsells x1 in the us for march. Ms went hard on the deals
