Finally, an Ouya killer!
It's cheap and pushed by Amazon, should do very well.
Ouya did not need anything to "kill" it, it was pretty much DOA.
Anyway this does look interesting, don't know who the target audience is though

Market saturation for these kinds of devices is getting absurd, especially when consoles and PCs also have this functionality built in; but with many other features also.
Does it support Netflix? If so I want this. Its perfect for my main floor living room (all my consoles are in the basement setup).
But why do you buy this thing for Minecraft? Almost everything plays Minecraft now.
I would be fucking flabbergasted if Amazon allowed the google play store on it.So, essentially, a more powerful, far less customizable Ouya? And missing Google Play presumably (I want my android games/emus!)?
.Fairly underwhelming after all the hype.
How does my Nexus 5 compare to this in power?
It's an additional $6 and is a super silly exclusion for it... Amazon should have just eaten the extra couple dollars.
any news on UK?
So one thing I wasn't clear on, are the games going to be curated specifically for the Amazon Box or will you just be able to DL anything on the Android Fire store?
The gaming side seems like an exact copy of OnLive, the controller looks exactly the same and it's streaming games, except the games won't be as good.
Serious question
If you own an iOS or Android device why wouldn't you buy a device that actually integrates with the devices you already own?
Hardware:
-SOC Platform: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8064
-Processor: Qualcomm Krait 300, quad-core to 1.7 Ghz
-GPU: Qualcomm Adreno 320
-Storage: 8 GB internal
-RAM: 2 GB LPDDR2 @ 533 MHZ
The Nexus 5 has newer parts (Adreno 330 vs Adreno 320 and a Krait 400 vs a Krait 300).
You can use your iPad or Kindle as a controller.
At least the dedicated controller is wireless, and you can use up to four connected to the system. AA batteries are a disappointment.
I don't understand this type of device, so it needs internet right?
So, I bit weaker than the Shield, pending on clock speeds. Kinda disappointed by this.

How powerful is the GPU ?, at first glance it looks like it could be more powerful than WiiU lol...
I don't really see the point of this. I mean, most people either have streaming through their tv, other hardware, or a games console. As far as gaming goes, most people that don't already have a last/current gen games console probably won't want to buy this just for the games. So...who is this targeted for?
