After some incredible achievements over the last year and a half, I am announcing my departure from Rev3 Games and Discovery Digital Networks. Sixteen years in front of the camera covering the videogame industry has brought me to a point where I am ready and desiring to explore new opportunities. While I would never say no to doing one more review, interview or opinion piece, the time feels right to explore new avenues inside of gaming that help further the medium. The audience, my wonderful and talented co-workers and the last year at Rev3 Games will forever be appreciated for what was accomplished. There never is a right time to part ways with something that has become as natural as breathing, but things do end and now feels right.

Well damn, I'm bummed out. Really enjoyed his reviews over the past year or so at Rev3.

Best of luck to him in the future.

Tara is the only thing left at Rev3. Scott is great but he and Tara can't carry the entire channel :l

Carboni needs to do more there.

Good luck at Microsoft, Sessler.

Jokes aside, it'll be interesting to see where he ends up.

Just saw this. Looks like he wants to get out of gaming journalism. Bummer, he was one of the guys I respected the most.

He's still going to be in the industry, just out of journalism? So I'm guessing a community manager or something?

Not surprising. Sessler is an older guy and need to get a more senior salary. I dont think Rev3 can pay very much. Good luck in the new job.

I'd be in the dick
I know he was getting a lot of flak recently but he was my favorite reviewer in the industry. I'll miss him.

Shit Sess, couldn't wait two more months until after E3? I like your E3 interviews and rants!

Maybe he watched the Twitch plays segment and realized it was time for a change.

Regardless, best of luck to him. He was great on XPlay, never really watched Rev3 though.

Didn't seem like he was there all that long. Really sucks for Rev3, he brought a lot of attention to their gaming side.

This is unfortunate. Not really any reason to follow Rev3, anymore.

Love the Sess, I look forward to whatever he'll be working on next.

I'm honestly not too broken up about it. My interest in Sessler divebombed after the God of War thing where he just came off (to me) as desperately clamoring for attention.

works for Gamestop (lol)

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.

That's why I think it isn't a MS insider thing he's going to. He's just moving to something less intense or whatever and will probably still do E3 and a few other things while relaxing otherwise.

Amazon snatched him too.

edit: Saw Wario post. So he's going the consultancy way? Godspeed. Guess we won't hear from him unless we pay for it now. hehe

I should be sad, but I'm not. After backtracking on his 1080p comments, bitching about a trophy being sexist, and crying on twitter about Sony not sending him a debug PS4. I've lost a lot of respect for the man.

Sucks for rev3. I only went there for Adam, and I bet that's how most feel. Adam will be fine, I just hope he stays in the spotlight an isn't solely operating behind the scenes of some consultant firm.
