Those are sprite games, you won't see a difference. Castlevania has a few 3D elements, though.

Yeah, I got mine from here and had them install it to my Fire Emblem 3DS. $250 is steep but my apartments gave me a giftcard for that amount for paying off my rent a year in advance.

Metroid Prime Hunters looks way better than I expected. Those textures look so much better than any of the others in the OP.

I don't think Metroid Prime Hunters gets enough credit for it's graphics. I honestly can't remember of a DS game with better graphics than it.

I love the look of PS1 and DS style polygons, especially when they're in HD or through filters. With the huge influx of indie games that copy the 8 and 16-bit styles, I want to see more indies try and capture the look of the PS1 days of pre-rendered backgrounds and low polygon characters!

In emulation, 3D elements have the capability of being rendered natively at any resolution.

2D elements just end up being stretched.

That is why the backgrounds in Pokemon look so good, they are actually being rendered at that resolution.

I would imagine battles would not look very good, as the majority of the screen are going to be taken up by massive 2D Pokemon Sprites and 2D UI assets.

Now these all look good enough to be charming. I wonder how Sonic Rush Adventure looks. (Rush Adventure had more 3D cutscenes and boss battles than the first Rush)
