Let's speculate: Will Ubisoft have a "Wow!" game for this year's E3?

So the past couple E3s there have been some pleasant surprises that got us gamers really excited. The issue about these trailers being full of possible bullshots notwithstanding, we still got very hyped for Watch Dogs and then the Division when they were first revealed. Do you guys think Ubisoft is going to pull a hat trick and have another game to wow us this year? What kind of game will it be? Will you fall for the hype?

I'm hoping that if there is a big surprise, it's a game that's not set in a modern world with guns... or even a future setting with guns. How about a good old sword and sorcery action RPG along the lines of Witcher 3?

What can Ubisoft do to impress you at E3 this year? Then again, Watch Dogs & The Division aren't even out yet and they still have Assasin's Creed as well. Do they even need to announce and start generating hype for a new IP?

I think we can expect a new Far Cry and I hope they reveal another Rayman(not Rabbids) title. Honestly, if the conference is like last year's, I'll be happy.

I can definitely see it happen. In fact, I reckon Ubisoft Toronto will be the one to announce it with a second team (outside the SC team - they have multiple teams on the go).

Pretty sure Yves confirmed last year they had another Watch Dogs/The Division type of unveiling planned for E3 2014.

If you mean new IPs, then no. The new Far Cry is probably gonna be a Blood Dragon sequel, so I don't see how that should wow us.

You're crazy if you think they'll ever make another traditional Rayman after the poor sales of RaymanLegends. Far Cry, however, is practically guaranteed.

There was that Far Cry on Himalayas rumor a while ago. I would guess we will have another "Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?" moment. Could be cool.

I think I'll be disappointing in Ubi's offering this year. I fear that they continue to be reactionary (remember the breathing game) and will push their F2P cross-over MOBA. And they'll commit to Android set tops if FireTV didn't bomb completely. Assassin's Creed, Division will eat up 30 minutes.

If we are lucky we'll get some nice Ubi Art games and maybe one fan favorite game like PoP or BG&E; but that's unlikely.

There first "wow" game is coming out soon before e3. If its bad than Ubisofts "wow" games mean nothing. Absolutely nothing. Unless they are in a playable demo form at E3 which i don't think so.

I hope they do. Surprising announcement trailers are the reason I watch e3 press conferences.

The WatchDogs reveal was so unexpected I was giddy all the way through the end.

I don't even really care about the game now that it exists, but i'll never forget how the reveal made me feel.

I wanna be wowed by stuff, even if it never really turns into a game.

Ubisoft lost all my respect. From now on I will not believe anything they say OR show, until there is definitive proof that what they will show OR say is both real (=running on actual hardware) and true.

This year I'm not even gonna watch their E3 presentation.

Rereveal of Rainbow Six Patriots?

Ubi potentially have a busy old conference with (speculation of course); Far Cry 4, Blood Dragon 2(pls), 2 New AC's, The Division and The Crew

If they do have a secret surprise, I do hope it's Child of Light in it's approach rather than Ubi Open world single/multi player blend.

We'll see. Exciting nonetheless.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for BG&E 2. I still play the original from time to time and it never fails to entertain me.

Assasins creed next gen will likely get the spotlight. They'll want to show just how nice the game looks on their new/updated engine but sadly the gameplay will still be worn and tired.

Hard to get excited about anything Ubisoft does, it's either going to look amazing and get severely downgraded and gimped or be really good then ruined with yearly sequels. Ubisoft is a very frustrating publisher.

They have tons of talent and they do stupid things to hurt their IPs.

Far Cry 4 (if it's designed only for PS4 and Xbox One).

That, and judging by how many people on GAF refused to believe the Assassin's Creed Unity teaser trailer was in-game, that too.

I think they will announce a new IP with pirates. Maybe not at this E3, but they will eventualy. Ship combat in AC 3 and 4 was very popular and i think they wil expand on that.

Far Cry 4 will probably be the "One Last Thing" game for their presentation, to make us believe again after we see a less-impressive cut of The Division.

We know that Division, Far Cry 4, The Crew, AC:Unity and AC:LastGen are a given.
Throw in some Watch_Dogs DLC, some "indie" downloadable games like Valiant Hearts and you've got pretty much all of Ubi's E3 conference.

I'd say that the most possible candidates for "WOW" are either Prince of Persia Reboot and Beyond Good and Evil 2.

What i'd love to see it's an RPG, something that is seriously missing from Ubi's portfolio.

Damn people are bitter about AC. Black Flag was great game.

But your average "yearly AC lol" poster wouldn't know that, since they haven't played Assassin's Creed since the first two games (if ever) and just like to remind us of the fact that one comes out every year. For some reason.

I want someone to create a new and original costumed superhero universe. Something that is eventually as large as Marvel or DC. Something that feels fresh but still lived in, kinda like the world that was created by Pixar in "The Incredibles". I feel costumed superhero games are an under utilized genre outside of crappy movie tie-ins.

I think they will announce a new IP with pirates. Maybe not at this E3, but they will eventualy. Ship combat in AC 3 and 4 was very popular and i think they wil expand on that.

As long as they get the ship combat out of AC, I'm fine with that. I stopped playing because of how ship combat heavy it was.

Beyond good and evil 2 sounds about right. That would certainly wow me if they show a 'next-gen' trailer for it. I'm certainly glad they decided to hold off until this generation to release it.

Oh boy. You realize Watch Dogs was demoed before they knew the final hardware right? If The Division is downgraded then you should grab your pitchforks.

Can't see them having another new IP to tease when they're calendar is so packed this year. Probably make up for it with two "wow" moments next year.

Theirs has been the only consistently good presentation lately (minus the actual presenters) so I hope so.

I'd like for them to reveal a brand new game that's due for release that year, so we don't have any people screaming that it'll be downgraded.

I agree with this. The Division was shown off before any claims of The Division coming to PC, so they can't say "No, E3 2013 was the PC version!"

Doubt it, probably just show off the division again

I did, it's just another template AC game. I'm bloody done with this franchise.

Possibly Prince of Persia. I can't think of anything else that would really wow people at this point except a new IP.

That's always possible, but they seem like they have their hands full with just the Division honestly.

I wonder if they'll have another Just Dance? I don't think 2014 performed as well as they wanted due to the decline of the Wii.
