I mean, if you know what HDCP is and why you'd even want to turn it off, you're not gonna need to contact their support.Yeah, this struck me as odd. What's the point in making it something you need to turn off? Increase the number of people contacting your support channels?
I'm amused. I wish that the add your own music part will allow us to actually play mp3BELIEVE
They're adding countdowns to game releases

Im excited for the pre-download feature. I hope this means that I will be able to play a pre-ordered game at midnight in my local time zone instead of waiting for midnight Pacific time.

I know right?? There will be a countdown that starts when the official time of release is announced.
a countdown would be cool
They can't because then you wouldn't be able to watch blu-rays, so they compromise to let you turn it off for capturing game footage.
My point was why does the user need to turn if off for capturing gameplay footage? Why is it not automatically off for capturing gameplay footage? It seems like an unnecessary obstacle.
This doesn't seem to mention being able to move screens via USB, just video. Very odd and disappointing if that's the case. I hope I'm blind or just misreading things.

Because the video shows you being able to play through your project, imported music and all, I'd say you can infer that the system at least already has mp3 playback capabilities. Dunno if they will lock that behind a music app tho
They are prioritizing gaming

Well could they AT LEAST give us something on this,
Sony made a HUGE deal out of 3D last-gen and now they just chuck it aside? Come on!

That's gotta mean mp3 support if you can use your own music. It would be beyond stupid to lock your own music behind an app for video sharing.
Add your own original music? MP3 playback?

Dude, you're the only person on the planet who cares about 3D Blu-ray. Seriously, I've seen the statistics, it's just you. That's why Sony chucked it aside.
You can import your musics from USB.
0/10.
You know what would make people preorder more? If you get the game a few days before official release.

Does this fix the glitch with the share feature?
Play as Soon as the Game is Released
Providing you with immediate access to your games is a priority designed into PS4, and something we will always strive to make better. Weve had a great response from PS4 fans about the Play as You Download feature, the snappy load times when launching and playing games, and the general speed and responsiveness of the UI. The 1.70 update adds features to build on this idea and make it faster to play the games you pre-order with an auto pre-download capability, which allows you to pre-download your select pre-ordered game up to several days prior to release. If you have the auto-download feature enabled, it will automatically pre-download your pre-ordered game so you can play as soon as the game is unlocked on release day.
As I mentioned earlier, some of these features were a direct result of the great feedback weve been getting from you, our dedicated gamer community.
