Codemasters teases new racing game (GRID 3?)

Always up for some racing games.

However, I really do hope Codies surprises us with a return to TOCA roots. The sheer amount of racing disciplines offered in their earlier games was just amazing.

Oh, and hopefully the audio is brutal!
DIRT 3 and GRID 2 was a big step from earlier games. Hopefully, that trend continues..

Unless it's a return to their roots with the Colin McRae and Toca Race Driver games I find it hard to get excited about anything Codemasters does these days.

I loved the first Grid, some of the most fun you can have wrecking licensed cars. Never got around to playing 2, but I'm definitely keeping my eye on this.

Codemasters were filming some BTCC stuff earlier this year at Donington Park

Putting a smile on my face, thanks! I really am in need of something. I liked and finished Grid 2, own it in two platforms, finished Dirt 2 & 3 around November last year. I do not have a PS3 anymore so I can't play GT6, FORZA 5 is on a console I can't purchase due its price unfortunately and Driveclub is... I don't know.

I play many racing games with the music turned off or low because the cars screaming loud is all the soundtrack I need. I'm so hungry for a racing game, to the point that...I...

...recently finished MotoGP 13 and got every single trophy. Help me, please, I'm already drivng Bikes! CodiesLooreeeee...!

Did you also listened to all your customers telling you that the DLC strategy on Grid 2 was the worst rip-off ever?



Also, on a separate note, really dissapointed that they are making a new GRID instead of a Dirt game (well unless the next Dirt game is more like Dirt 3 than Dirt 2...they can keep it if that'S the case). Also it's about time you announce F1 2014 no?

It would be great to see a comeback of cockpit and creating a own race team. But one thing is sure: it will be looking good. Thats one of the best things in Grid 2.

Still haven't found a way to get FM5 and Xbox One yet?...get to it man.

And yes, a great sound design that includes great engine and exhaust notes is so crucial for a game like this. Forza 5 does such a tremendous job in this regard.

Just realized that GRID3, Forza Horizon 2, pCars and NFS are some of the racers coming soon...great time to be a racing fan..

We listened a lot regarding the DLC for GRID 2, especially for the likes of you guys our core Community.

We know for example that many were unhappy with the amount of pre-order bonuses on offer and the fragmentation that caused.

We also know we could have done a better job with the integration of DLC into the game.

We're a much more Community focussed company now than say, two years ago, we've spent a great deal of time listening to what people had to say, what they liked, disliked, wanted and much much more.

We don't believe "We listen" should be a buzz word, it's more than that.

The Xbox One will be "Officially" released on September in here my good man saladine but even when it arrives, it's going to be quite a bit pricey I'm afraid. I know I great local store selling the Titanfall bundle for 549.99€ (around 758USD, I believe) and FORZA 5 for 60€ which is all I want right now. You have no idea how bad my driving needs are but being on a budget all the time become really tiresome.

And yes, I do agree with you. What a great time to be a racing fan! ;)

Why are people speculating with Dirt and Toca? The teaser is clearly the GRID logo.

So if it's not a port, then it's clearly a GRID sequel.

We know it's a GRID game but...

1-We want a new DIRT instead
2-GRID IS what TOCA became...They changed the name and made it a lot crappier a couple of years ago.

Race Driver: GRID was effectively the 'next step' of the ToCA series so with what Loore is suggesting above, the latest game may very well be a ToCA-style* game albeit in the guise of 'GRID 3' or something similar. He quoted someone suggesting the series 'returning to its roots' applies.

*Larger emphasis on touring cars and national racing series, 'racing ladder' style career.

They've spent time filming with the BTCC too, so it's not a long shot by any means.

Wouldn't say no to a new DiRT but they've fired four of those games out now in relatively quick succession.

Grid 2 came out less than a year ago.

Also they've been hinting at a new Dirt game for years now but still no solid info. After the dissapointement that was Dirt 3, hopefully they can bring the next Dirt game back to the D2 glory days.

They've been teasing a new DIRT as well. It's going to be moving away from the X-Games/Ken Block-style focus and back toward the McRae approach
