Infamous SS Photo Mode |OT| If it's not bokeh, don't fix it

What amazes me the most is not only PS4 is capable of handling all this (and whaever engine Sucker Punch is using), but the amount of detail they jammed to this open world game. I'm wondering how much work was required just for preparing resource for graphics, like models and textures.

It's quite baffling! 80 people for 2.5 years on an open world game and they had time to put in a smiley face on some random chair!

Realised where the arrow was pointing afterwards.

The 240V 25A warning on this doesn't seem right for Seattle.

First post and through Twitter so don't hate me!

Absolutely amazed at the level of detail. Seriously, would people have even noticed the rust and links on the chain if it wasn't for the photo mode?!

This gives me hope that the chains on Kratos's blades of chaos will now finally be properly shown in 3D. That always irked me about his character model in GOW3, looks damn good but then the ugly 2D chains around his arms ruin the illusion.

I had the game freak out when I smoke dashed onto some broken piece of DUP fencing stuff and chuck me way up in the air, allowing me to capture these:

and one with Delsin:

Guys i see some people capturing moments where Delsin makes an orbital drop, or he looks like he is flying straight up in the air or towards the ground. How do you achieve this?

THIS! Welcome to Next Gen!

If ANY of the shots in this thread were released prior to day 1 there would be people screaming bullshots up and down the halls!

Realtime bullshots... brought to you by the Sony Playstation 4.

Real time bullshots. I like it. What has Cerny done.

I wish I was home right now to contribute!

Played for an hour today. Completed one mission.

This is straight-up DeusEX concept art. Awesome shot.

Thought I'd give it a shot too :)

I love how abstract Video can make the shot with all its pixelation and artifacts.

Quantum Break!

These gifs are really cool.

My thoughts exactly! And this is in-game, not some pre-rendered cutscene put up during a trade show for the press.
Not a swipe at the X1, just that these are the kind of things that we get to see this gen in-game!

This is a fantastic shot, mate.

How are you guys grabbing the shots? Via share then Facebook or is there a way to upload from PS4 to get as little compression as possible?

Until we can export the shots from the console itself the best way with the least compression (if we're ignoring capture cards for the moment) is to use the PS App trick.

Just send the pictures you want to a secondary account or a friend (you should probably make sure they're okay with that first, I'm not entirely sure how my friend is going to react when he sees his inbox has been swarmed with images of Deslin and friends), open up the PS App on your phone and then save the pictures from the messages.

This shot is everything.

Totally. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread became a training tool for devs/publishers for improving their own screenshot compositions when marketing an upcoming game; undoubtedly we'll all pile on and call "bullshot!", however I also think a lot of us will at least take pause before saying that now, knowing the kind of things we can easily do ourselves given the tools.
