The significance of Acti showing COD first at a PlayStation even cannot be overstated.

Other than the very first game (PS) call of duty is an "XBOX" brand for all intents and purposes....it is also available for PlayStation but if Acti is gonna release DLC first of PS4 and or do like how Ubi are co-marketing Watch_Dogs/AssCreed or like they themselves are marketing Destiny, MS will lose MASSIVE mindshare to PS4 very quickly

Arkham Knight looks better, and that's a open world game with a lot going on. The Mad Max future armor doesn't look incredibly detailed, the lighting is okay.

The FPS genre is gonna get interesting, maybe publishers and developers realized the military FPS crap has gone stagnant and are flipping to SWAT and COD: Crysis.

"Advanced technology future with horrible military conflict" isn't new, and it'll probably be overplayed within a couple or few years.

A certain someone? If you are going to talk about these kind of *drastic* changes, at least include some form of a source.

Honestly, I find it hard to believe. I don't think Microsoft would ever let go of Call of Duty. Heck, they spend $400 million on the NFL deal. There is space to ensure Call of Duty stays 'home at Xbox'.

Really? That sounds amazing.

It's pretty much accepted that the game is Police-based and not military, but I heard it was a SWAT game that was, at some point, taking inspiration from the actual SWAT series. Not like super tactical but some of the same mechanics...I guess it would be easier to say it had Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon inspirations.

I'm not a big CoD fan, and while there's still a good chance I won't pick this up when it releases, this is the most interested I've been on a CoD game since MW1 (Which I greatly enjoyed).

You're right about it just being about the lead platform. But in the past we haven't seen the PS version advertised, so it's hard to believe that MS would be okay with them announcing that the lead platform was the PS4. Especially after what happened with Ghosts.

Sony in a marketing deal with EA for Battlefield? They were with BF3, but Microsoft made a deal with EA last year for BF4... I guess that's a multi-year deal, so Microsoft will probably still have Battlefield.

Hard to believe this. For one, Microsoft has always been the forefront to "pay" Activision for stuff like time-exclusive DLC. I highly doubt Sony is willing to do, but it is possible that Microsoft stop paying to Activision after Xbox division has been restructure.

It is. Though it's more likely an artist at Sledgehammer Games is an Idris fan and used him as inspiration for the character model. That said, on the off-chance Idris is "starring" in the next CoD, well then Activision...

Arkham Knight looks better, and that's a open world game with a lot going on. The Mad Max future armor doesn't look incredibly detailed, the lighting is okay.

It's not holy shit-impressive but considering its previous iteration, it's a significant step forward.

Also, we haven't even seen anything remotely ingame-enough to be able to judge B:AK's graphics.

To note, Destination PlayStation is a retailer event where things get shown that aren't even on PlayStation.

Celebrity voices aren't a big deal in CoD (IIRC, Kiefer Sutherland was in World at War), but if Idris is "starring" in a video game - ala Ellen Page in Beyond: TS - that would be a big deal.

MS took over Battlefield last year. That's why it was shown during their press conference. They teamed up with EA for Titanfall and Battlefield. Only time will tell if things have changed with CoD.

That's the game that really kickstarted the whole resolution discussion due to it running at 1080p on the PS4 and 720p on the Xbox One.

They've also stated many times how that is important. It's a staple of the series that many copycats failed to adopt.
