'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' trailer (PC/XB1/PS4/360/PS3, Nov 4th) [Up: Info]

SargerusBR

I love Pokken!
For all the re-interested fans, how does this appeal where Black Ops 2 didn't?

Heck, conceptually this seems like it could easily be Black Ops 3.

I was really hoping for more than Black Ops 2 + Robocop Remake CEO.

My thoughts exactly.

They should have gone with the WWI + Alternate Reality theme, at least it would be an original concept.

And i really need to see direct footage of this trailer, because I am not seeing those awesome graphics that some folks in this thread are seeing.

I think this is the "new" engine they were pimping out last year. It looks very good. This at 60 fps on my 50” LED...unnf

Guessing it has to do something with dat Spacey.

Also hopefully the exosuit stuff is part of the core game, and not just like every other cod and just another toy you play with for 5 minutes, and is then put back in the box.

If multiplayer turns into CoD speed plus Halo survivability with these exoskeletons, then I may be diving back into CoD multiplayer. Also, the movement potential seems crazy. Not Titanfall crazy, but much more vertical than previous CoDs. All that assuming the exo suits play a big roll in multiplayer.

I think it would be such a missed opportunity if they didn't, those jumps and the wall climbing would give MP a breath of fresh air the series really could use.

I really hope it's included.

The trialer piqued my interest quite a bit. Hopefully, they shake up the gameplay with those exosuits. Will probably pick it up on PS4.

Oh I get it, because first it was Modern Warfare, now it's...Advanced Warfare.

Like Game Boy ---> Game Boy Advance, woo

That Kevin Spacey model is hilariously bad.

Gonna echo the "last time I was this hyped for CoD was MW2" sentiments in here. After Black Ops 2, Ghosts setting was just like ugh, I am le tired. Really happy to see a break away from the extremely tired modern day setting in CoD.

Also, I wonder if Kevin Spacey is reading this thread, getting his cuff links ready.

No but really, I'm very interested to see how this game progresses and potentially breathes life back into the series.

Cautious optimism. I'm of the belief that Treyarch have always made good Call of Duty games outside of 3 and the ones they did before that. Black Ops 2 was my favourite and most played one since Call of Duty 4. I'm still kind of sad that a lot of people automatically wrote off Black Ops 2 as shit even though it was actually really well done and polished. Also horse tank vs. mammoth tank from Command & Conquer in the desert was legit. Amongst my friends I was the only one who gave it a fair chance. It even worked on PC!

I'm interested at least in the new one. I just hope it works on PC and gives me FOV options above fucking 90 for once.

I don't even like first person shooters but this looks amazing. And if they get this running at 60fps. Wow.

Treyarch isn't making this.

The soldiers were wearing the exo suits in every shot, I'd say it's pretty safe to assume they're in the MP as default. I'm guessing everyone will have the super jump in MP, but I'm hoping the climbing gloves will be in the MP as well. Doubt there will be any wall running though. Minigun mech has got to be the new juggernaut.

I never play COD....but I'm truly interested in this. That lighting model is downright bonkers, even for a crappy non-direct feed vid.

First time im excited about a call of duty game since COD4:MW. The trailer has sold me. Looks like theyve finally made the jump to a new engine?

Now don't gimp the ps4/pc versions and im in.

First CoD I'm hyped for since MW2! And I guess this has that similar reaction to when CoD 4 was shown and people thought that looked impressive back then (for a Next-gen CoD).

This and then Halo 2: Anniversary the week after? Damn, November looking good already.

If you're going to put an actor in your game, invest in skin tech, holy shit.

I find it weird that they were clearly ok with the results. It looks off.

Oh yeah I know that. That's why it's cautious optimism. We haven't really seen much from Sledgehammer at all, and this is their first time doing a Call of Duty game solo. Sledgehammer has the benefit of being the neutral developer of the three since they're a mostly new studio, and they're also making the first Call of Duty which hopefully is being developed with the PS4/XBone in mind.

If it was a Treyarch game I'd almost be all in since I really like the nonsensical "fuck it" direction they've been taking with the series.

I guess I've been spoilt but games REALLY need performance capture, all the Kevin Spacey scenes his face looks dead, it doesn't match the emotions being evoked.

Who wants to bet that the "Xbox One Footage" is just a PC hooked up via HDMI into an Xbox One and then a capture card recorded the Xbox's TV feature? I smell bullshots, lots of them.

Not much interested aside from the graphical showcase. Still is great to know they are hiring good actors, hope the writting is up par. This makes Treyarch's CoD even more appealing.

It's the most boilerplate villain dialogue. It says that:

Democracy and Freedom is wrong, and America is wrong for trying to spread Democracy and Freedom (because that's what our wars were about, right?)

And that people would be so much better off without Democracy and Freedom.

it's just so propagandist and dull
He never says democracy and freedom is wrong, at least not as it applies in theory. He argues establishing "democratic" regimes has been a total failure. There are two central points to his monologue: a cultural/infrastructural disparity renders attempts at democracy useless in these countries, and democracy is not necessarily what they want (this second point might include everyone). The second point is less about forms of government and more about human nature.

The term propagandist is essentially useless when discussing anything in these war games. Just thrown in "trivialize" and "glorifies" while you're at it. So either people who are under the impression our wars are about democracy are misinformed or recognizing that democracy is not the point is incorrect. Which part is the propagandist one? Our wars in real life are never really about establishing democracy? Sure. But I'm sure the Kurds don't mind.

Graphically looks alright but that GI cover was much better by a huge margin. Facial Animations need improvement because Kevin looks a a doll speaking. Otherwise, it looks pretty fun.

Almost certainly a dev kit. All footage of Ghosts was on a PC with Xbone specifications. Actual xbone console footage was not shown until they demoed the extinction mode on IGN, which was after they showed PS4 footage a week earlier, a first in the series history.

Obviously, they are aware of Titanfall. It is now their #1 direct competitor. So how is that going to change their game? Personally, I've been a long time COD lover, but now that I have Titanfall, I can't imagine buying this game.

The COD formula is awesome, but why would I buy this game when I have Titanfall? Give me something new and exciting. I really feel like they need to break from the past games now. The FPS ante has been upped.

Yeah the screenshot of the Spacey model made me think they were using the same old CoD engine. Looks extremely low-poly and with very basic skin shaders.

I saw the trailer and the rest of the graphics honestly look pretty good, which leaves me hoping that the Kevin Spacy model is just a work in progress, because it looks jarringly bad compared to everything else.

His voice acting was excellent though.
