Link didn't want a goron hug.
Link didn't want Ruto in his face. (Or marriage)

He screams at both of them in fear.

However the boob hug he received from Cremia was a very welcomed gift. Haha.

We've seen numerous examples of big boobs in past Zelda games and some that were nude.

Overall man, the only thing your arguments seem to be about is your issue with the whole boobs are a thing for straight guys.

I don't think boobs are just for straight guys.
L/B girls seem to enjoy them just as much as Straight/Bi guys do.
However, Shia's design is pretty lame. It's unnecessary fan service for the sake of getting otaku's and neck beards to check out the game. It's kind of exclusionary, and something I wouldn't expect in a Zelda game.
Again, none of Zelda's past "big boobed" characters were designed to be ogled at.
No one even remembered that the afro girl from Twilight princess existed.
:p

Again, this is not a "Zelda game". It's a "Warriors game" with a Zelda skin. It's not developed by Nintendo, it's not designed by Nintendo, it's just supervised by Nintendo over the use of Zelda characters. Warriors games happen to have sexualized women in them. This is a game that has to appeal to both audiences.

That still makes her pretty undesirable to the player, and Link.
:/
Face it guys, past Zelda girls just aren't equivalent to Shia's level of stupid fan service.
There are plenty of sexual female characters in the Zelda series. However, they've always been a part of building up the quirky world. They're funny and their designs aren't what most would define as classic beautyl. However Shia looks like she was made primarily for the audience to look at her. That's the difference. The boobies are nothing new, but the character design in general is something to argue about for 30 pages. The reasoning for the boobage is being debated, not the boobies themselves.

If the story has a Majora's Mask twist where her character is well developed and sympathetic...then I'll be pretty happy. Maybe Shia is like the skull kid and is just alone and ignored. That's great, but I'm kind of afraid it won't be that elegant or tactful of a story.

And a lot of that depends on if Link talks or not in this game. :|

If he doesn't talk then this is going to feel pretty awkward.

Link doesn't scream in fear of Ruto. It goes like this.

Link kills Barinade.
Link is teleported outside.
Ruto is all up in his grill.
Link is startled and backs up.
Link falls in water (screams)
Ruto wants husbando
Link thinks it's a type of food
Sapphire GET!
Control in given back to player.

And yes Cremia's hug made him feel all warm and fuzzy! inside!

no! i can not be silenced any longer! malo is an abomination, like what even is he? he's a creepy baby thing, even in the purposely grotesque look of Twilight Princess characters he stands out as a freaky baby thing
He's the Stewie Griffen of the Zelda Series...

And I'd like to see him playable for the lulz.

Malo is an obvious fan service for the dancing babies fans. It's forcibly included in the game just to cater to that audience and sell the game.

Agreed.

lol
I can see how someone can find Malo pretty unappealing.
However, I think he's kind of charming. In the same way that Waluigi is charming.

Malo is an industrious baby who made Invincibility Armors affordable to the common man.

THAT'S WHO MALO IS

Shia's design is terrible, regardless of the boobs. Her cloths are so awful looking.

Anyways, can someone explain this for me?

Though Nintendo better not mess around with voice chat if they do have online co-op.

Also, waiting for the Zelda Musou take on this comic.

It's a speedrun tactic to skip that fight. You throw rocks at the spikes hoping to get a heart on top of them, then kill yourself with bombs hoping to get the heart during the animation. That way you'll fall on the other side and bypass that fight.

I don't think I need to have played the game in order to realize that she's dumb fan service for neck beards.
Just look at her:

Thank you for calling me a neck beard for liking what you don't like.

Let's all start calling each other shit for having different tastes in video games. And to think i had bailed from the thread, why i had to check?

This is true, but I still don't see why this is as big of a deal as GAF is making it out to be.
What big deal is GAF making it out to be? People are simply voicing their opinion that her design is lame. Some disagree and then there's conversation. Maybe that makes it seem like a big deal then?

edit: Though yeah a few people might be going slightly overboard with it (on both sides).

You and every one else are dismissing her based on her design but then saying other sexualized characters in Zelda are different because of how they handled them in the game. Do you see the gaping hole in your logic? It's pretty easy to dismiss a sexualized character based on their design alone, but it's also stupid. Look at characters like Bayonetta that are strong characters that use their sexuality and assert it, or you could ignore her because she's hot and her clothes dissappear when she attacks and she likes to suck on lollipops. We know very little about Shia, but the little we do know makes it sound as though she may be a sexual character. You'd have a point if she was supposed to be a knight or something and dressed like a character from Code of Princess, but she's not, she's a witch. Sexualized characters can be good characters if their sexualization makes sense for the character. So stop bitching and wait for more details on the character.

I dislike these specific arguments. It's just as valid to say it's a Zelda game with Warrior style gameplay.

Actually I disagree somewhat. To me saying that would make me think more along the lines of something like Bleach Soul Resurdumbname or Sengoku Basara, games that are similar or in the same "genre" but not actually made by Omega Force whereas Hyrule Warriors is.

But whatever, that's probably just a bit of pedantry on my part.

Isn't she trying to seduce Link? Showing some skin's a good step. (Depending on the style of seduction, of course.)

So... How about that chainmail armor Link? Isn't it weird to see him dressed for battle outside of his green tunic?

I am a man. I am far from a neckbeard. I like boobs. Women like boobs. Boobs are great.

Just for the reactions I hope they will be a legend of boob someday with the best written female characters ever to grace a videogame. And they will all be naked. The men too of course.

Yeah I'm not sure why liking boobs is being a neckbeard or whatever. I think its a good change for the Zelda series.
