Everybody is freaking out, its not even supposed to shown to the public and you're calling it trash. Wait for e3 everybody hopefully it looks better then.

It will look like BF4 then too. And I don't see many claims of "trash," just the idea that it's literally the same game as BF4 with a different theme. Which it clearly is. Lots of people will like it just fine, I'd bet. But the initial impression is that it's a re-skin. You can't deny that.

This will bend or break on performance and whether or not the game modes are fun.

The map layout looks like they took the urban maps from BF4 like Shanghai and Dawnbreaker and and basically went from there. Not much to say though outside of that it looks a lot like BF4, I mean, BF4 is a good looking game but Hardline looks like a BF4 mod based off this video.

I'm still interested in how the game matches will play out though, cause there was some strange stuff on top of the usual Battlefield shenanigans. Like... You can drive the fucking fuel tanker now, and it looks like the police can easily access every roof top which has me worried for the Terrorist/Robbers side. I have a feeling the ones who flat out who won't give it even a chance will be people got rubbed the wrong way with BF4's launch bullshit (somehow I didn't even get rubberbanding until the Naval Strike expansion. Yeah I don't know how that happened either), and people who were never that into FPS's anyway.

This is going to be a problem for me. For someone like loves to play the objectives during BF games there were way too many fucking snipers in BF4. Way too many. This is going to be a sniper haven with people ignoring objectives and just wanting to get sniper kills.

Everyone keeps saying it's Battlefield.

Weird.

"Battlefield: Hardline".

Yep... it's what I expected. Now time for someone to reskin COD and give me that Star Wars mod I want. Star Wars level maps with Star Wars guns and Characters. Come on Activision... get on that!

This does look like a reskin and I think they played it too safe but I honestly feel this will end up a better game than BF4. I think Visceral is more proven on the campaign side so I am expecting the campaign to be fun. Vice police theme is certainly fresher and more interesting than modern military so that helps.

On the MP side I feel like the lack of jets and tanks will equate to a better MP experience overall. Jet battles are cool but they do not really contribute to the objective of the map. Many jet pilots also like to abuse flying into helis for instant kills. Tanks are great in theory but not so great in practice, at least in BF4. Many tanks just sit safely in their own spawn and shoot across the entire map for an easy 30 kills and no deaths. Tanks also skew class balance as you feel really gimped if you aren't running engineer in conquest. C4 is ok but you really do need a lot of engineers on your team. Tanks are too powerful against other land vehicles which means no one wants to use jeeps and die in one shell.

I really think less is more in this case. If indeed there are no jets and tanks then people will use cars, bikes, and armored vehicles more often. You may even be able to get an ammo or med pack in conquest for a change.

Put me in the same boat as "it looks like a mod."

But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm loving the concept, and I i'm curious to see how it all plays out.

True, I guess I should common down but the same thing happened when they announced Battlefield 4 and people bashed on it then once e3 came around almost 90% of the people who complained loved the game.

You can't fundamentally change how it looks without revamping the entire game. It looks like it plays like BF4 which isn't a good thing when you are charging $60 ($100 in the case of Australia). Hell, it doesn't even make sense in some parts especially with helicopters and the weapons, these are cops for goodness sake.

Yeah I have a problem with it as well. Especially if it's like BF4 and the helicopter (there are two, that scout helicopter and that bigger transport one) is basically a moving air spawn point. It's especially bad with Hardline which seems to be going for a more focused objective oriented approach as the games primary game mode, as opposed to the classic Battlefield spread out chaos of Conquest.

I think that with Hardline it's a good way to sort of dial the series back a bit, after BF3 and BF4. It looks like Hardline is gonna be a strange mix between the Bad Company series and BF3/BF4. It's gonna have that focus on infantry combat at close range with a focused objective mode as its primary game mode similar to how Rush was in BC2 (And let's be honest here, Conquest in BC2 fucking sucked, but then Rush in BF3 and BF4 sucked), while still have the options and variety offered by BF3 and BF4.

I think they just started doing vehicles wrong in BF3 and BF4, and it only happened because of their decision to make infantry combat less... Well shit compared to BF2. It felt like in BF3 and BF4 that the vehicles were essentially very large powerups or power weapons that were an add-on to the infantry combat.

Very true, but it could atleast play a bit differently, nobody knows how old this build is. For all we know it could be a build around the first leaked trailer. Which was 6 months i think.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
The leaked gameplay trailer hyped me as hell but this video totally destroyed my hype.

We'll see what they will show at E3 but god fucking damnit if that doesn't look like a re-skinned BF4 then i don't know what does.

Seems strange that the next Battlefield would be police centric. I wonder if the next Need for Speed (if there ever is one) will be military based?

High speed chases as a SEAL team member after alleged terrorists in licensed cars. Errrr... naw.

Why does a police chopper have a fucking machine gun on it. lol

Because it is simply the same scout heli from bf4 with a new mesh. I have not seen one thing in this video that speak new game, everything, from icons to vehicles to guns is nothing but different meshes pasted on top of existing objects in bf4, even the goddam sound is the same. Yay EA :/
