Neither does every soldier have a regenerating parachute in real life. Getting rid of that would go a long way towards helping urban maps not be a fucking sniperfest.
Getting rid of the thing that allows for vertical movement would go some way towards making Battlefield less fun and dynamic as it would remove options and tactics.
I don't really see snipers being able to get on rooftops as being a problem. The problem is not being able to effectively counter that tactic. In many cases the only actual proper way of dealing with it is with a helicopter. So like, borrow a page from Watch Dogs and let players hack into building security, electrify the floor, blow up AC units, put those windowcleaning lift things on the sides of buildings, have Batman's grappling hook, jump pads, whatever.
Or bring back the MAV. Could blow up spawn beacons and push snipers off the buildings. Before they nerfed it you could roadkill them without the thing blowing up, it was great.
Oh it's still there. It's just with BF4's unlock system being shitty, it might as well not be. I'm an awful sniper, but I could
do some good with the MAV. But first I need to be terrible and hate things until I amass 91k points. So that's a thing they could do; not lock away vital class gear. If Hardline does not do that that'd be swell.
