PacMan Revealed for Smash. Bros

Why do people have so much faith in this? Everyone was predicting Palutena since the game was announced (And especially after the leak that), while his Pokemon "prediction" didn't even name which Pokemon was in.

because the persons first prediction was 100% dead on?

The guy had Wii Fit Trainer, Villager and Mega Man in his first list of six.

He was the -only- person to name Wii Fit Trainer.

The list is legit.

People are still questioning the legitimacy? Jesus Christ.

It is possible the 2nd list was fake if Gematsu didn't completely verify it was the same person, but they sound plausible enough. The "Pokemon from X and Y" thing could easily be the guy didn't know what the name was since it's a newer Pokemon. Or just wanted to be vague.

GameXplain tweeted Pac-Man is based on his Pac-Land appearance but turns into his pizza-style sprite after a recovery. He also throws fruit, apparently.

Something like this then:

Sal is the one who called the following before any of them were revealed.

Round 1 (Pre-E3 2013): "Animal Crossing Guy" (Villager), Wii Fit Trainer, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Mii (Mii Fighters), Little Mac

Round 2 (Pre-Smash Direct): Chrom, Palutena, Shulk, Chorus Men from Rhythm Heaven, "Pokémon from X & Y" (Greninja)

Round 3 (Pre-E3 2014): Possible Lucas Removal, Character DLC is a thing

Got a link for the last one?

This closed-doors reveal is by far the most boneheaded move of E3 yet. Why wouldn't you show this at the main event or at the massive tournament you prepared for your game?

Wow. But in any case, interested to see an official reveal video for gameplay purposes.

That first prediction was actually unusual and people noticed when it was right. The second one is a laundry list of fan favorites with only one particularly unusual pick, and that pick hasn't been confirmed yet.

Because it's the same guy leaking and he got 6/11 right so far?

To control the media, of course. No seriously, I mean imagine if the crowd loudly booed Pac-Man. Not likely to happen, but Nintendo would be in for a Media shit-storm, lol. They just want to have it controlled.

We won't know for sure unless the Chorus Kids are announced. Shulk would lend some credibility to Round 2, but it won't 110% confirm it.

Right now, Sal has a good track record & hasn't been wrong about a single character yet. The only thing that may be questionable about him is the lack of Rosalina.

The reveal is there to suck up to the journalists who HATE that Nintendo goes around their backs for all their media stuff nowadays.

Pacman is a great choice, and he's as old as your dad, children. He belongs in.

And for the record, I think even his new game looks fun.

We're at the point when people are in denial and self defense mode since their favorites didn't make it in. It's really quite a sight to behold.

Wii Fit Trainer? The name "Mii Fighter"? Dude is 100% legit.

The list is legit.

When did he guess Mii Fighter specifically? For all we know he was just guessing, which is what the original post implied. The only character to be shown in the last Smash direct was the most vague one, Pokemon from X&Y. Again, a pretty safe guess. Why not get the name specifically?

Maybe I am just being pessimistic.

Rosalina was between leaks.

Think about it: If you were someone trying to fake out the Internet, and you only made six "guesses," would you really make one of them Wii Fit Trainer? And another Villager, who Sakurai had previously ruled out? And another one Mega Man, who at the time we thought Capcom would leave to gather dust? If you were faking, would you really only make six guesses and make half of them those characters?

Everything is panning out according to the leak. Chrom, Shulk and Chorus Men are left. There may be others the leaker didn't share or know about in advance.

I guess we'll see, but I'm nearly completely convinced the leaks are legit.

"Let's announce it on twitter with no pics or video!" - Nintendo

If I was Bamco I'd be pretty pissed at the treatment of the character tbh.

Wow, what else has he predicted!?
I'd be better for everyone to just anticipate the leaked newcomers as the only remaining ones, that way anyone else is a pleasant surprise.

There's gonna be a lot of heartbroken Lucina, Robin, Anna, Owain, & Tharja fans when Chrom is revealed.

Did you see the third leak Sal posted before the digital event today? It named Mii Fighters correctly.

You can't hear boos over a digital event. Plus, do you really think this would get negative attention in the slightest? Sonic in Brawl wasn't exactly hated.

He used the name "Mii Fighter" in a post on SmashBoards last night, where he also mentioned a possible Lucas cut and character DLC.

He wasn't guessing. He posted about the leak on Gematsu.

His first leak was 100% accurate. And nothing has disproven his other leaks.
