(And to everyone that won the things I signed up for, h8chu ;)

Yes indeed!
Rhaknar I couldn't enjoy it all as I was watching the England-Italy match, but still every now and then I got back checking the thread and it was all OMG Rhaknar went crrrrrrrazy. :)

Also I entered every single Arkham Origin giveaway in the last couple of hours and I never won anything, so you guys better enjoy it!

The 24 hour raffle lets more people register for the giveaway. It's the nicer option.

Just think of how many people missed out on the rest of today's giveaways.
IMO, it depends on what you're giving away. Something new/expensive/really good (in other words, games that will be really sought after), go 24. But for cool little indie games or bundle leftovers, 3 seems better.

Rhaknar, even though I didn't win any of your Raffles I just wanted to say: wow dude, one of the most generous giveaways I've seen recently!. Amazing, and congrats to all the winners.

bundle leftovers = 15 min if you're gonna do a raffle at all

I think 24 hour raffles are annoying cause you gotta keep bringin them up since the thread moves. 3 is fine.

even 15min is too long for most of the bundle fodder imo :(

I find it amazing I entered for like 7 games and got none. I really wanted Civ V after missing it on Steam. I'll just pray for it in the summer sale.

And so ends my little pre-summer sale extravaganza. Hopefully 40 of you peeps got something you can enjoy from this. And with that, I leave you with the Final Giveaway

hot tag ruining jpgs makes me sad :( Passing the torch to Gaben now, merry Summer Sale in a few days.

24 hours gives all timezones a chance to win. It's 2 ± 1 AM in EU.
3 is fine is well but it depends on what the giver wants

Wow, thanks Rhaknar! I have a whole lot of Civ to play now!

I agree: 15 is best for those. But the poster was asking about 24 vs. 3.

Depends on what it is. There's always someone who wants one of those games. I was able to give away Alien Zombie Megadeath (really underrated and cool, BTW) and Galcon Fusion (no idea) today. I did a 15 minute giveaway for those. Company of Heroes II Multiplayer Access is still available. (But I honestly have no idea how that works, if it still works, or if you need the base game. I'm giving it away anyway, in the hopes that someone will know more and can use it.)

I wish someone would give away 8-Bit Commando. I still want to try it, even though the general consensus is that it's not very good.

I don't know, for 24 hour raffles, you could always do what someone like X05 does and respond to a bunch of posts at once, and then at the very end just have a little blurb about the giveaway.

Generally I prefer:

15mins= a few leftover bundled games that very few people are interested in since a lot of people are buying it.
3 hours= use for a bigger giveaway, even if it's mainly bundled games.
24 hours= most games $15 or higher, or something you want to give to the community in particular so you leave more of a window for entry than usual. Or even a huge giveaway, like 100+ games, if most are at least decent.

that's some hot bidness

I think im a mega-giver, is there a way to check?

Send a PM to ModBot titled "My Loot".

nice giveaway, NOW I can go to bed :p

also, should have been DS2 season pass >_> once again proving sub zero to be the inferior MK ninja!

I want to see a full list of stuff I've won / I want to see a full list of stuff I've given away that has not been claimed
Send a PM to ModBot with the subject my loot--anything else you put in the subject line doesn't matter, anything you put in the body doesn't matter. Wait a few minutes (this is a low priority operation) and you'll receive a PM with a full inventory of everything you've won from ModBot as well as everything you've given away that is not claimed. If you haven't won anything and you have no unclaimed games, you won't receive a PM.

I would buy you a season pass if I won RE6 from your giveaway, but I didn't :p

But I guess anyone who has been here for more than a couple of months should be a mega giver by now.
