Thanks! But where do I start?!Congrats, man. Be sure to check out all the great Wii games you've missed as well. Backwards compatibility is a beautiful thing.

I'll seriously consider Devil Third again if they have a better showing.

EXCITE Truck. For real, if you like arcade racers. Thanks! But where do I start?!

All the people who are newcomers to mario kart, I will give one warning. Do not join the gaf lobby for kart because those people are brutal. I'm pretty good at it and the highest I placed in the gaf tournament was fourth.
Ah, Xenoblade and Last Story look right up my street! Am I right in thinking I need a different controller to play these Wii games?
Nintendo Defence Force jumping the gun a little bit here and can pipe down. It's not much needed. Those are just one of the few reasons why I haven't bought one yet, is all.
I've already said I'm pleased for those who do enjoy their system.
Was I really that noisy?
Attention all new Wii U owners:
LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER
You need that game.
That is all.
I've been a Wii U owner from day one, and I still don't own this. I don't like the Lego games in terms of gameplay (although I do like the silly jokes and fanservice), yet I am partial to open world games.
But if it really is that good, by all means convince me.
Same. It's still too expensive, its pretty much full price even now. If it hits £20 I'll pick it up..
It's really depressing to me how many people have no idea what a Wii U is. I didn't realize this until I got one a couple days ago and had to explain to everyone how it is not a Wii.
bought the Mario luigi deluxe bundle a day ago for $134(target error) along with 3d world($30) and have a little buyers remose setting in. I have a 3ds(with a backlog) and feel like that could be enough to scratch the Nintendo itch especially since the games are similar. 3dland/3dworld, mk7/mk8, nsmb2/nsmbu, dkcr/dkctf, smash3d/smashu. I know that there are future games im interested in but the releases are sparse overall and I could sell it for a nice profit..... decisions, decisions.
A shame isn't it. I've had people over who are casual gamers who still bought a PS4 day 1 (just cause) and when seeing the Wii U they said what's that. When I tell them they say they have never heard of it. The name really is a problem. Should have just gone with Wii 2.

Oh yes. And they are indeed supah sweet

It's the best open-world game to date, if I'm asked. That's because Lego City Undercover's city is more alive than any other I've seen. It's also got the most entertaining side-missions when compared, for example, to Ubisoft's games.
Add to that the story and the characters and especially the humor and you've got a winner. It's truly a great game, all the other Lego games pale in comparision.
That... actually sounds really cool. I might consider it.
Get a refurb unit for $200.I'm so tempted to buy one these next couple days for MK8.
But I also wonder if they'll do a Bayonetta bundle? That's what I want it most for!
Personally, those are the ones I'd recommend without assuming anything about a person's tastes.Since no one has done it yet, as someone who has owned the system from the first day, here are the games I think are worth buying/renting:
Zombi U
NSMB U + NSL U
Lego City Undercover
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Rayman Legends
Pikmin 3
Wind Waker HD
Super Mario 3D World
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Wonderful 101
Mario Kart 8
Resident Evil Revelations, though the 3DS version is cheaper and arguably better
NES Remix 1 + 2 (digital only)
Zen/Star Wars Pinball (digital only)
Nano Assault Neo (digital only)
Mutant Mudds Deluxe (digital only)
Runner 2 (digital only)
D&D Arcade (digital only)
There are a couple of other good games out there depending on your tastes, like Wii Sports, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Need for Speed, Tekken, Lego Marvel, Sonic Racing, Skylanders, Scribblenauts and so on.
Captain toad, yoshi, and Zelda all look amazing. Plus there's pikmin 3, Mario 3d world, and Mario kart.
unfortunately, all those games combined cannot compete with the last guardian, imo. That's one game I'd buy a ps4* for.

So hey, I just fired up the Wii U and noticed that I suddenly had Wii Sports Club, even though I never bought it. I tried to do a quick google search, and it seems like they sometimes offer free trial periods on it? Has anyone else had it just randomly show up for you without prompting it to?
