fuck yes

best Pokemon game ever made (unless the japan-only sequel was better, haven't played that)

I played a friend's copy back in the day for like ten minutes. I couldn't work out how to do anything, challenged someone and got brutally slaughtered.

Good times.

I'm so happy. I played this game to death as a kid because I actually liked the TCG but never could play anyone.

I'm super greedy and want both. I know it's never going to happen but I can hope.

Tempted. I loved this game back in the day. Wish they'd make a modern version of it though (not the Online one).

Awesome. I wish they would make a new video game for the 3DS or Wii U, but I suppose they would rather have people buy the physical cards.

I still have the strategy guide for this game since I think it came with a promo card back in the day.

it's 4am and I'm tempted to go grab it and peruse it.

Hell yes. I still remember beating this game's E4 while I was home sick. Ranks right up there with Pokemon Yellow and Gold in my youth

Oh man :D

Of course, a proper new games would be so good a probably sell a ton of copies, but we are talking about Nintendo here...

Dammit Nintendo, why don't you allow gifting on the eshop? If there's any chance for a new PTCG on 3DS or WiiU it'll be from the sales of this game, I'd gladly add a few more!

I put in 100+ hours into this game as a kid. I remember I had an all Jigglypuff deck that WRECKED my friends. I might pick it up again. I hope this is secretly teasing a new Pokemon TCG game in the works.

I can't even imagine how much my life would be in shambles if they released a pokemon TCG game on the 3DS. I must have beat the GB game half a dozen times at least if not more. I'd beat the game, grind for cards that I wanted to make super OP decks, and then reset my save and do it again.

Virtual console games don't have expanded features do they? I'd love to play other people with my busted raindance deck. Professor Oak + Computer Search so broken lol.

Yes! I hope this release of the GBC version is a hint for an eventual 3DS release.

I play it on PC every now and then and I still wonder how an officially licensed Pokemon Trading Card Game that lets you build custom decks and play online is not on the 3DS or WiiU yet. I would play it every day on my 3DS easily.

Also you can use QR codes from the booster packs to get booster packs in the game. Willing to bet money card sales would probably see at least a slight increase as long as the game is active.
