I don't know why they didn't utilize Draskyl as a caster this year. I don't really like a lot of the other GD Studio guys, but Draskyl stands out to me as being reasonably, intelligent and he has a lot of experience and understanding of the game. He's just a well-rounded caster. At least put him on the panel instead of Sheever or Bruno, who I still think are both terrible. Just seemed like a waste to invite him to the thing and then they had him on the panel like twice during the group stages.
On the whole, I still think Dota 2's casting lineup is weak. I actually ended up watching a lot of SC2 Dreamhack Valencia because iNcontroL, Tasteless and Artosis are THAT good at casting. iNcontroL is one of the most charismatic people in the esports scene and he complements other people so well. Tastosis just have years of experience in professional casting on pretty much everybody else in the business. A lot of the SC2 players also seem better at interviews as well. Interviews with Dota 2 players are always SO awkward it just makes me want to turn the stream off.

He refused the invite from Valve but still went through his own means. He probably just did some of the analyst panel stuff cause it gave him something to do either that or they upped his pay immensely so that doing what he was invited for wasn't beneath him.

So, with this new patch offering has been disabled and deleting has been enabled.

I think Pyrion said he talked Draskyl into going to TI and accepting what Valve was offering him. I can understand him being disappointed that he wouldn't be able to cast any games or participate in the main stage. If he's going to show up at TI anyways I don't see why he wouldn't accept Valve's job of paneling the group stages, though being put in the same tier of talent as Ryuu and Whatiship must be sort of demoralizing for him.
I can understand Valve trying to rotate casters for grand finals every year and giving more people the spotlight, and I think the panel choices made sense if they considered how the game was to be represented. They had an attractive and racially/gender diverse group who are generally well-spoken even if they had nothing noteworthy to say, and nobody who was in front of the camera (minus the players) looked the mold of "stereotypical" gamer, so no overweight people or walter white lookalikes I guess.

Does the audience even get on screen?
Not really, the camera is always on the DJ or whoever is on stage. But sometimes it's zoomed out enough to see the front rows. How many people are there right now?

Got mine on the first chest I opened. Thought about selling it, then just equipped it.
Seriously, it has to be the most detailed and fantastic set put into the store to date. The love and attention really shows. Much more so than those other sets with thousands other unnecessary particle effects and gimmicks.

In the course of two weeks I've gone from 2600 to 2000 in solo MMR. I lost 6/6 games today. It's just brutal. I don't know what to do at this point as it feels like just horrible luck in terms of team make-up. Is there anything I can do to improve this? After 2500 or so it feels like it's just a constant downward slope of being matched with increasingly worse players so there's no climbing out. What sucks is I started around 3000 at one point.

I had the same problem. Play FV and Slark from 2k to 2.8K.
Isnt that party MMR which is different? My party MMR is actually decent in comparison.
Okay so Doom, Slark, FV..... I assume Abaddon is still good for wins right?
