In answer to the OP, Purple Gamecube and Dreamcast would be my votes. I know some people think they look like toys, but that's part of the appeal to me.

That's odd. I just checked in Chrome and didn't get any warnings.

Yup, the PS2 in my number one. It's so beautifully Art Deco with the repeating geometric patterns. Such a pure form.

The two latest generations have been great overall. Very nice designs from all three. I'd say pretty much all consoles before that are actually quite ugly, especially the ones that come in that hideous "90s gray" like the original Playstation.

Gotta say I couldn't give the slightest shit what a console looks like. The size of a console is obviously important because it needs to fit into a certain space but yeah I simply don't care about the aesthetics of a console.

Personally I dislike all modern designs, they have zero personality. I don't mind consoles having a strange or unique look (most adults prefer nondescript...everything I suppose). I'm still partial to the Megadrive/ Genesis. For a bit more subtlety, I'd go for the Super Famicom/ EU SNES. Or perhaps the different candy colors of the N64; you could make an art project out of those, they look so fun.

Unlike Sega's consoles it didn't feel hollow. Lacked a decent video output and a second controller port but the console itself was fab.
