NHL 15 PS4 / X1 - No EASHL in the game?

Yeah, I really can't remember the last time an entire community was this disgusted with a game. I don't know what I'm gonna do if they don't have EASHL, it's pretty much my favorite mode ever :-/ It represents the only things I still enjoy about games---sports, teamwork, progression, etc.

The problem also lies in how there are communities out there solely dedicated to EASHL. So to omit the gamemode entirely in a generation of consoles (a step up in a generation) is like slicing the lifeblood from active communities playing, interacting, and enjoying your game.

For those who don't play hockey or sports games this is a bit like if the next COD didn't have multiplayer.

If they couldn't implement eashl with the new engine , then they either have shitty programmers or a shitty engine.
I'd say more like if it had multiplayer but only team deathmatch.
It's more like leaving out Domination or something.
Maybe it's something they add after release?

Agreed. EASHL isn't just a game mode; it's a whole new way of playing NHL.
It's like HUT: it's a game mode but it's a game mode people solely play and purchase a copy of an EA NHL game for.
Same for EASHL.
I BUY NHL for EASHL. It's all I play.

This exactly. I have zero interest in any other game modes that ship with the game. I only play EASHL and if it's not in the new gen versions i'm not buying the title. I understood why we didn't get a next gen version of 14 last year but for EASHL to not be included in the Bone and PS4 versions while being in the 360/PS3 versions is asinine.

I had hoped Gamescom would have led to news that EASHL is still in, really not happy that they haven't gotten in front of this and said one way or another. Thats the only thing that leads me to believe theres even any merit to this whole charade, which we have to remember began from a best buy listing, still holding out hope, my friends on the other hand have actually cancelled their preorders (not like its hard with Amazon) until they hear if it is included for sure or not. I suspect they will make us wait until the early access release to find out. Really shitty, because they have to know at this point, theres a twitter dedicated to calling EAs Vancouver offices and leaving voicemails in Rammers box until it is full for christs sakes. It literally makes no sense to hold out on confirmation unless its to keep preorders, which really, theres no guarantee that anyone picks them up in the first place, so that seems like a silly notion. But hey, it's not like EA has made any choice business decisions recently.

Still can't believe they won't tell us what modes there will be less than a month before release. Hell, isn't it going to be soon that the game will go gold (or should be if it makes the 9th in time)?
Demo is live in a week and should show which modes are included. I don't get why a developer doesn't just come out and comment on whether it's in or not.
Because it's not in. They don't want to ruin the surprise when some poor sap buys it and realizes it doesn't have the best mode.

I killed my pre-order for the PS4 version of the game. If they announce the game, I may just pre-order again or just go to the store to buy it. I don't need the HUT pre-order stuff since I won't play that. If it's really not in the game, then I'm glad I canned the pre-order.

I don't believe they think that we (Consumers) are that dumb. But I wouldn't be surprised if they choose turned a blind eye to the outrage which is basically what's happened.
I wish I was strong enough to not buy it =/ but seeing as this is the only hockey game on the market, I don't really have much choice.....
I'm still flabbergasted at zero response here. This, to me, can now really only mean it isn't in the game. If it was, wouldn't they very easily just send out a tweet that says hey, everyone, don't worry - EASHL is in the current gen versions of the game?

Think of it this way (trust me, I want a hockey game badly), why should they get rid of a HUGE part of the game from the previous ones (which more than likely means that OTP is gone as well) and be given money for it? I think that if you buy the game knowing this, you're enforcing their laziness and missing features and saying to EA that this is okay.

One of the few examples of that I can think of is when 2K Sports removed Crew mode from NBA 2K12 (had been in 2K10 and 2K11) and wouldn't even speak the word Crew before release or for a month after. I'm sure they regret that now because that fairly small but vocal crowd still hasn't let them off the hook for that.
Typically with annual sports games there's an understanding that primary modes and features from the previous year will carry over, unless the company states otherwise. EA has generally been fair with that practice. When an expected feature isn't going to be in a game, they have usually made it known months in advance. Really in some cases they went above and beyond what was required of them. Things have changed there in the last few years as far as communication goes.
That's not happening here obviously, and it's a really bad situation with a bunch of circumstantial evidence and the company refusing to respond to media requests for comment or the hundreds of people slamming their social media accounts. I've also heard from multiple people who claim to know EASHL and GM Connected are not in the game, but I have no way to verify their authenticity. There is no reason why, if this is untrue, EA would not be able to confirm a feature from last year carrying over to this year. The silence from them is saying a lot. Whether they're out of the game for sure or they are uncertain if they can get them in.

EASHL was the thing where there was leagues for the 6 on 6 teams right? If so, I wonder if maybe they are pulling the league aspect of it but will still have the ability for the 6 on 6.
Most likely not. The Best Buy listing says 1-2 players online. That would imply 1vs1 and ultimate team.

2) "All new authentic hockey physics" (How many times have we seen this?)
3) "Better, more intuitive controls"
4) Next-gen graphics! More realistic looking creases and folds in your player's jersey!

The last gameplay trailer had quite a few shots from first person perspective... I think they're making 6v6 with 1st person cams only lol... and there's only OTP, no teams or leaderboards. Enjoy!

Actually monday-wednesday would be the best time frame for a huge game modes blowout to hype everyone for the demo releasing a week later. That one will then be enough to cover the remaining weeks until release.

It's not literally written down. But is it really reaching if we're less than month away and one of the most popular modes ever in the game, hasn't been mentioned at all, and they're dancing around it?
It's entirely possible they're announcing that new mode next week, but it is really bizarre that they'd release that kind of info THIS late.

If they have a scheduled plan announcement, they're not going to announce something before the scheduled plan announcement because some people demand EA to tell them.
